Sunflower - Giant Yellow 3 metre Plus by Pretty Wild Seeds 100 Seeds

I have grown giant sunflower seeds before & they grew to 14ft & all my neighbours kids were in love with them but I grew them for the many birds that live in the trees near me & for the bees. Those that I had in storage for 2 years did not grow this year except 1 seed, so decided to get a fresh batch of seeds.I soaked for 2 days, starting out with the seeds in very warm water & let cool naturally. By the time I was ready to.plant most had sprouted. I planted 2 per pot to start off with & within 1 week I have had to separate each one in to their own pots because they are growing extremely quickly.I am growing inside until they have roughly 4 -6 leaves as I don't want the slugs to eat them. Really excited to have sunflowers back in my garden again and will plant both in the front & back garden in different sections so the birds,bees, & squirrel are not all competing for the same set of flowers..From the pictures you can see, they grow really well in deep pots as well, I did some directly in the soil but with alot if wildlife coming into my garden some of them have not survived but the potted ones have done exceedingly well and healthy. Managed to protect them from the slugs using copper foil tape.Very pleased & would buy from again

These sunflower seeds didn't disappoint.I did an experiment and germinated some of the seeds before planting.The remaining seeds I planted straight into the soil.I wasn't disappointed. They both grew beautifully, very healthy strong stem and gorgeous sunflowers. I've read some reviews advising not to buy I highly recommend buying look at the photos I've submitted to support this review .I will be buying again from this seller and no the seller has no idea I'm submitting a review.

They never have grown so far but I guess we see if they ever do but I followed all instructions

The sunflowers didn't grow this year. Everything else I bought this year did. The company said my soil must be contaminated. No refund option. I'll try the remainder of these seeds next year if they are really sunflower seeds

I bought these for our street during lockdown for each house to plant some as we thought it would brighten up our gardens. I chose them as they mention 100 in number and stated that they were giant. First, I was sent only 66 with 2 bits of wood and not the 100 advertised so I couldn't give to everyone. We grew them and the majority grew but all are only to 1m so definitely NOT giant. I did email the company about the number but I received no response.

All the seeds planted germinated successfully with a quick growth ratio.Beware of slugs when planting outdoors, allow time to germinate and grow a few leaves before leaving unprotected. Snails and slugs will quickly devour seedlings. Grows much faster indoors, but can be successively transferred outdoors after initial growth.
