surprisingly not as much flaking! this was perfect for defining my (4b) curls, not too light and a tough hold and cast.

This gel is great for slick back buns and ponytails. It can also be used to style your curls if your looking for hold. Once I use this I know my hair will be in place all day long. You get alot of product for a good price and you don’t have to use much gel to get a good hold.

First time using Xtreme Pro Expert styling gel. I am impressed with the texture, plus it Holds my hair well and last all day. This is the first styling gel I used that does ot leave my hair looking white.

This is a overall good product, gets the job done and extreme hold slicks your hair just wish it would dry faster overall good product with pleasant smell, shine, curls hair, manageable size, and feels moisturizing recommend for most hair types

Make sure your satisfied with whatever style you choose because your hair will NOT budge with this hair gel! This stuff has a STRONG hold that lasts forever. A little goes a long way, so this container size should last for a long time. I dont think it's great for curl definition because its a pretty thick gel. Your curls will be hard, crunchy and heavy. I think its great for all hair types, but not for all hairstyles. I have thick, 4a/4b hair and it holds my slick backs perfectly, but I wouldn't use it for a wash n' go or anything like that. I dont experience any flaking or residue, unless I try to brush or comb it, but that happens with any gel. It dries down with a nice shine, and it plays well with the other products I use. It can cause build up, so maybe use a clarifying shampoo on wash day.

I have 4C hair. It works great. Holds my hair well. Not itchy like most alcohol based gels.
