Is this plug extension wall-hung type?

You don’t hang it you screw-in to the wall. It has two very well hidden plugs on the front plate covering screw holes. Push those out with a thin screw driver from the back, I just used the same screwdriver as a bradawl to mark the wall pushing through the holes from the front, drill, plug and screw. Pop the plugs/ caps back over the screw heads. Can’t see them. Jobs a good un

One of the sockets emits a humming sound when switched on. Is this safe? The other 3 are okay and in use. I should have tested them all when received.

Sounds like it is shorting to me, so wouldn't use it. Go back to Amazon or if via market place go via Amazon not direct to seller as get extra protection from amazon
