This mini chainsaw comes in a portable case, with adds accessories, one extra chain, safety glasses, pair of gloves and two batteries. It works pretty well for pruning my yard with shrubs and some smaller tree branches. Need to read the instructions first before using for the first time : noted needs to charge the battery and add some chain oil to the chain to make sure not running dry chain will prolong the life of the chainsaw. I really like how easy it is to use the mini chainsaw and cordless is helpful in trimming and pruning. It does cut through thicker branches but needs a bit of time and patience.

We got piles of branches going from the size of a twig to a tree limb for our community falls cleanup project. This little cordless and powerful chainsaw really helps out a lot to get the jobs done where a pruner just can’t do it. It could even cut the limbs that are quite thick, around 5” or so. It’s very lightweight and small and packed with many goodies such as protective glass, gloves, extra batteries & chain links, and the storage container. The safety features on the chainsaw to activate it definitely is a must have even though it may seem inconvenient at first. The flexible chain cover on top to prevent any broken parts of the cuttings from shooting upwards is an excellent feature. I could see that it’s going to be so handy for my upcoming custom window screens frame building project. Overall, it’s a great tools to have around if you got some spring and falls landscaping projects to take care of.

I purchased one of these over a year ago after my more expensive Saker saw died - motor smoked and died after what I consider light use. I have abused this little saw mercilessly cutting small diameter branches for firewood, trimming out larger limbs, and brush clearing. Faster than loppers for trimming gnarly brush and branches to pack in my utility dump cart. Not recommended, but it does a fine job slashing dense thorny and wisteria vines, also. Simple, light, fast, versatile. Battery life is good. Chain life is good. It goes along with my other chainsaws on every job (home use, not a pro). However, although still running and cutting, abuse has damaged some plastic parts, and for safety reasons it is time to replace. A great tool purchase!

Review for Wemars 6" mini-chainsaw: I bought this on Prime Day, at a price too good to pass up, with cutting tasks waiting for me. It came preassembled, in a nice case, with an extra battery, spare chain, safety glasses, cheap gloves (replace those if you don't have some canvas work gloves). It was surprisingly effective, cutting down brush 2-3.5" in diameter. I have a larger chainsaw that is simply too bulky to take care of smaller cutting, so this was really handy. Two warnings, if you want an easy time getting started with this saw: You'll need chain oil (available from any hardware store), and a small squeeze bottle to apply it. (Like most mini chainsaws at the lower end of the price scale, this one does not have an automatic oiler feature.) I re-purposed a 2 oz bottle from a sample size of BBQ sauce, with a screw-open/close tip. You'll need to keep this handy while cutting, since you need to apply oil regularly. (A few drops along upper and lower edge of the chain, perhaps every minute or so of actual cutting time.) I took off the protective cover for the guide bar: internal construction seems OK at this price point. Frankly, I'd consider this a disposable tool, and it's going to tear up something inside eventually. I'm OK with that-- it saved me enough time on my first day of use to be worth the cost. This saw also doesn't have an conveniently located knob for tensioning the chain-- also typical at this price point. Wemars has included a small regular screwdriver to adjust this, but it's not really the correct type of screwdriver: the location of the screw at the base of the guide bar means the screwdriver is always pushed away from perpendicular with the screw-- you'll be both frustrated, and will eventually strip out the head of the screw when trying to use this. While you're at the hardware store to get chain oil, pick up a right angle screwdriver, #1 Phillips tip. Both your mental attitude, and the chainsaw, will thank you for it. (Push down lightly on the bar above the screwdriver tip when using the right-angle screwdriver to keep it properly seated in the screw head.) My saw maintained chain tension well, and didn't really need to be adjusted during an hour of use, but you should check it regularly The attached picture shows the 2 pieces I've added to my kit.

Okay, seriously, ditch the big, heavy gas saws for light jobs. This little 6-inch mini-chainsaw is a total beast in a tiny package! It's so compact and lightweight that I can literally use it one-handed without getting worn out. I was skeptical about electric, but this thing starts up instantly—no yanking cords, no messing with gas and oil, and no frustration. I used it to trim a bunch of thick branches around the yard, and it powered through them perfectly. It fits easily in my shed and is ready to go in literally seconds. If you have light pruning or quick cuts to make, this is a total game-changer and a must-have for your home tools. Best impulse buy this year!
