Tempted to replace all my cookware with Anolon
I read many reviews before deciding on this pot and I'm glad I went for it. The other Amazon reviews were especially helpful. I'm replacing a 4-qt. nonstick Calphalon pot. This pot is lighter than I'm used to and easier to move around, but it's heavy enough that it heats evenly. I've even had to turn the heat a little lower than I'm used to because of that. I really appreciate the glass lid, too -- it's great to make sure the food doesn't boil over. I've even started using this lid with other pots so I can see what's going on.I have a mix of nonstick and stainless steel pots in my kitchen but now I'm tempted to start replacing everything with Anolon. It's so easy to clean. I made a batch of fudge and I was able to get every last bit of it out of the saucepot and into the pan. That's never happened before! I like to cook and I'm in the kitchen everyday so I'm sure this pot will get lots of use. I know the nonstick coating won't last forever, so the price point on this pot is just right, too. I have an Anolon skillet that's lasted me several years of hard use and is still as non-sticky as ever! The care instructions included with this item are a little stringent. For example, they recommend never using oil or nonstick spray, as it may be absorbed by the coating. They also say never to heat the pot past medium. There's no way I can use my cookware and not do those things. I guess time will tell if the coating will suffer. If my skillet is any indication, I should be fine for years to come.

Warning, do not order from "Classy Kitchens". I believe they delivered a fake product. Extremely frustrating experience!
Warning to all, I believe that "Classy Kitchens" (3rd party vendor) is selling a fake product. Extremely frustrating experience!I have happily owned this pot for about 5 years and wanted to replace as it was beginning to get a little dinged up. I found it on Amazon and ordered. What arrived was very different for a couple of reasons. Fortunately for the comparison reasons, I have both pots to compare side by side.1 - When it arrived the first thing I noticed is that the lid had a seam in the metal rim. I compared to my original and there is no seam in the original. The weight/density of the metal in the lid also felt noticeably different. After the first rinse, water had already found its way into the seam between the metal and the glass and would not completely dry (even over night). The lid from my original pot is seamless and has never had water get into the gap between the metal and glass.2 - I cooked pasta with the new pot the first night for the first use. No different than I have done hundreds of times with my original pot. Cold water into the pot, onto the stove on med/high heat until water boils, add pasta, and remove pasta when done. Pot stayed on the stove until cooled before cleaning. Pot was never on heat without water in it. When I washed the pot, I noticed there is a large lump in the bottom. This occurs with cheaper builds when intense heat/cool periods happen. I didn't even apply any intense heat/cool and it was warped. My old pot with 5+years of use has no warping at all. In addition, the material in the new pot feels different. Slightly lighter in weight and sounds less dense when I tap it with wooden spoon.I chatted with Amazon and they said I ordered it from a 3rd party vendor, "Classy Kitchens". Which was very odd to me because I have not ever intentionally ordered from 3rd parties unless it is a unique item that Amazon does not carry themselves. Amazon carries this pot and when I clicked back on my purchase link, it goes to Amazon page for the pot. But to the right there is a link to "Classy Kitchens" and I guess it is possible that I clicked them on way out. Amazon said they do not shift orders to 3rd parties, so while I think it's very suspicious because I don't select 3rd party vendors, it's possible I accidentally selected them.Amazon said they would pass my message to the vendor and go from there. So now I am awaiting the reply. After realizing the pot is likely fake, my biggest concern/frustration/anger is that the product is fake and is produced with chemicals that are unsafe for consumption. My family has already eaten from the pot once, which is more than enough.I have attached a picture of the lid, but not the warping because it is difficult to catch in a picture. If anyone is considering this pot, please be sure to order from a reputable source.

I love this pot
I don't cook a lot of big meals, but when I need to make a pot of something, this is my goto utensil. I think what I love the most is the glass top makes it easy to monitor the progress of the cooking. It's also easy to clean (non stick) and the two handles make it easy to carry and pour into a bowl. After several months of use (maybe 6 meals at this point) it still looks brand new. It's also pretty light in weight.

Designated DEEP FRYER
THIS IS THE ALTIMATE DEEP FRYER! After several bad purchases of specialty home fryers, they last a year maybe a little longer. I got pretty use to eating deep fried appetizers during sports events and wanted to bring the experience home, needless to say after several purchases and years of trying, I watched Paula Dean one day, she happened to be making Southern fried chicken, the lights came on, with this sauce pot a turkey fryer thermometer and one of many baskets left over from failed fryers, It makes as good or better fried chicken wings, mushrooms, cheese sticks, jalapenos yes and for the Packer backers out there the curds are the sshhtuff, then I ever have gotten in a resturant. All can be bought ready to fry at most larger retailers and you just brought the game home. Even bought the mini keg dispenser I've probably saved thousands trying to do it at home, but the experience now is 100% better. Fried food is good on Game day!

Not worth the money.
Analon is a quality name for pans so I opted to spend more money on a few pans. I live alone and rarely cook, this pan has been used at the most four times since Jan. 10th. It's never been in the dishwasher. Today as I was drying the lid I noticed the gasket holding the handle on firmly is coming apart. I would expect this on cheap pans. I'm out of my return period so I'm stuck with this. I'm pretty sure the other gasket will rip soon too. Save your money, buy other pans.

Love the pot, but cover is misrepresented in thumbnails...
Haven't used this particular piece yet, but love the rest of the set I had bought. Purchased this one because the set was missing this size. There weren't any that you could fit a steamer basket in except for the stockpot. However, if you are fussy and are adding this one to your set, the picture of the cover in the thumbnails is not the same cover as the set. Just saying....

So far we are mostly satisfied with it
We bought this to go along with other similar Anolon cookware. So far we are mostly satisfied with it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the top lip of this pot curves out slightly. This makes the lid fit a bit less securely and doesn't seem to serve any purpose as far as I can see. Otherwise it is great cookware, the handles are very comfortable and stay cool.

Not the colour advertised ...
If, like me, you are looking for the hard-to-find black Anolon saucepans, don't buy this - it might say black, but it ain't. It's grey like all the others, despite what the listing says.
