Apex Lenses Replacement Lenses for Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer RW4008 (53MM) Sunglasses

Was hesitant at first from reading the bad reviews, but the pair I got is perfect, perfect fit. Transition not as dark, but neither do the ray bans transition as dark (ice had both). I like the fact that clear has a slight tint to it.

wonderful lenses that transition perfectly when i need them so i can wear the meta glasses at my desk and outside. They may have blue light blocking as well as I have less strain on my eyes when I wear at my computer. Big fan and definitly recommend

They snap on easily and fit perfectly. Sometimes why the 3 stars? The sunlight hurts my eyes. The sun was barely shining and using these hurt my eyes from the glare and I had to place the original lenses back on. The lens turning dark does nothing to ease the eyes in the sun. There's also a tint to them while inside so things are always darker and they don't protect you for blue light either.

Has a little bit of tint. Whether in the sun or indoors. Never changes. So they are no longer effective sunglasses.

Can confirm these fit the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarers size XXL very well. These lenses are a hair wider (in all dimensions) than the stock lenses. Removing and re-installing the stock lenses is very easily. Installing the Apex's is fairly easy, as well. Removing the Apex's (to swap them out) was the most challenging part, but I got it eventually. This was my first time swapping lenses on plastic glasses, and I was able to do it without applying any heat. Given that the Apex lenses are a bit challenging to remove, you probably wouldn't want to keep swapping them on a regular basis, but once in a while should be fine. Compared to the stock lenses, these are about as clear and have maybe a bit more glare on the inside. The glare might be inherent to mirrored lenses. Overall, they work great as a replacement, especially given the limited options available from Ray-Ban. I ordered two pairs of lenses, and one pair arrived with a product defect. Getting that one refunded was very easy, even with the product being sold and shipped by Apex, not Amazon.

Not great. Lenses fit well in the Large meta Rayban wayfarers (4008 model) and they were easy to put them in. Comes with a nice case and glasses bag. Unfortunately the lenses do not transition well at all. It takes very extreme direct bright sunlight to see much change at all. Even then they take about 10min to darken and another 10min to transition back once inside. They are also not totally clear when inside. So they are difficult to use. I see why some say they don’t transition at all, as it only works in very very bright sunlight. They also don’t transition when in a car. The car glass blocks UV so they don’t change) I removed them and went back to the stock Ray Ban lenses.
