Aluminum-Free Deodorant, Women & Men Black Rose & Oud 2.6 oz

Salt & Stone has quickly become my favorite deodorant. While it’s more expensive than a typical drugstore brand, I truly think it’s worth every penny. The scents are incredible, and they actually last all day without fading. I also love the packaging. The twist-up applicator is easy to use and dispenses just the right amount of product. Unlike many cheaper deodorants I’ve tried, it doesn’t leave behind a sticky or greasy residue. One of my favorite things about this deodorant is that it’s aluminum-free, which makes me feel better about using it every day. Despite being aluminum-free, it still keeps me feeling fresh, helps control odor, and prevents me from sweating through or staining my clothes. It also doesn’t leave any marks on my clothing, which is a huge bonus. I purchased the Saffron Cedar scent, and it’s a beautiful, feminine fragrance with subtle floral notes. I also tried the Santal & Vetiver scent, which has a warmer, woodier profile that leans more masculine. Both smell great—it just depends on your personal preference. Overall, if you’re looking for a high-quality natural deodorant that performs well and smells amazing, I highly recommend Salt & Stone.

This is it. I've been searching for the best no alum deodorant. I'm not picky but I don't like to smell. I kept going back to regular stuff because after awhile the "healthy" stuff just wasn't cutting it. Smells great. I mean really great. The sent goes away after awhile but oh my goodness it works. I used it during heatwave plus during travel where the sweat was trickling down my back and I had no air conditioner. I never stunk. I don't care it is an arm and a leg. It smells great, it works, there is zero residue, and the natural ingredients make this a winner. The packaging is good. I used a different natural deodorant before this and while it worked okay, the packaging was low quality (making it hard to use) that I just couldn't buy it again. This feels like a well thought out package and yes it is expensive. But I don't care.

I got this for my very active and, let’s b honest, sometimes stinky 14 year-old boy teenager with very gentle, sensitive skin. We have gone through, well almost, every possible natural deodorant out there. None of them worked or at least not from a.m. to p.m. showers. When doing yet another research, I stumbled across this one and gave it a try. It felt so smooth, soft and pleasant when I tested it on myself arm first. I am assuming it is because of the moisturizing ingredients and ceramides. And it surprised me that it felt more like a light non sticky serum rather than a thick deodorant. You can barely feel its presence, yet you could tell it was on a few hours later because my skin was still soft to the touch! You can kind of see the texture in the up close photo I took. It did absorb quite quick without leaving any residue or stickiness, but I wish it had a little stronger smell to it. It has very mild, musky/sweet smell, which is definitely a men’s smell and myself and my son both loved it! This deodorant lasts longer and smells way better than lume, dr squatch, native, Tom’s.

I was going to try a bunch of different deodorant options but I've gotten STUCK on this one. The scent is clean and natural with the perfect touch of rose and slight wood/earthy vibes. It is noticeable enough to make it enjoyable to use and give you confidence if anyone is near your pits, but not overwhelming or perfume-heavy. Definitely a much more sophisticated, romantic scent than your run of the mill fresh clean options. The texture is smooth and easy to apply, I don't need to press hard or warm it up first and it goes on super even it's more like a lotion/oil vibe than traditional deodorant so there's no weird clumpy parts or chunks and once it's on it's not visible or white (see photo of about 10 min after putting it on). It's comfortable and light on my skin and it's actually really moisturizing so it leaves my armpits nice! I also like that it does not have that overly sticky feeling that some aluminum-free deodorants can have. I usually reapply after I shower, and I have not felt like I needed to keep reapplying throughout the day ever. It has worked well for me up to 48 hours, which I've never really had with an aluminum-free or other natural deodorant before. I just have felt like I'm not only confident when I'm out I don't stink I'm confident I smell good and slightly sexy ha! Love the packaging, not that it reallyyyyy matters too much but it's really cute and aesthetically pleasing with a more high-end lux look, fits in my travel bag well and I can leave it out on the counter and it just blends in. Overall, if you're looking for an aluminum-free deodorant with a light, high-end scent, that applies smoothly, is friendly on your skin, and actually lasts I'd recommend this to anyone!

I tried it for a few before reviewing. I usually use a dry spray so solid is a change. Easy to use This one goes on well, it’s not too soft, feels dry after application, so a two swipe application per arm works well. Doesn’t cake up. With a few scent options, I couldn’t ever guess what the fragrance might be like on most; I do know rose so I ordered that fragrance. Luckily for this guy, it’s not a floral scent; not light or flowery; more of a deep mellowy smooth scent. It’s good. Not light b or fruity or sweet; more woodsy, calm, relaxing scent. I’m really bad at describing scents but hopefully this info would bet of help. It’s summer, and I gave it a try on applying one day but not the second day, and was very surprised on day two, I could only smell the deodorant; no body odor. I’ll try a few other scents too — next time I order.

I got the Saffron & Cedar scent and to me, it smells a lot like Baccarat Rouge 54 - personally, I really like that scent! I actually got this deodorant b/c I was intrigued by the smell. As a deodorant, I feel like it works and I really like how it is aluminum free and claims to be free from chemicals. The only downside, it transfers on to your clothes. After using it for the first time yesterday, I noticed white streaks on my dark top. This deodorant is like a very creamy white paste (not clear) and it does collect under your arm. I raised my arm and I had very noticeable white clumps which made me self-conscious. Overall, I feel like the deodorant works, it smells great and it's fun to have a little scent but just beware, it will transfer on to your clothes and it will clump under your arm

This was my first time using this brand and I used it faithfully for about 9 months. I've been using more natural and aluminum-free deodorants for several years now. I have sensitive underarms so I stay away from "clinical strength" or a lot of chemicals. I've tried both ladies' and men's brands (I'm a woman) and they only seem to work for a little while before they completely stop working and I have to switch to something new (or back to an old one). I decided to give this one a try after seeing it pop up on Amazon a lot and also because the one I was using isn't sold in stores and would sometimes take a week or more to get to me. My first impression of this deodorant was that I like the compact, round packaging and how easy it is to use (the bottom twists very smoothly). Secondly, IT SMELLS AMAZING. Black rose and Oud is such a delicious scent - lightly floral, sweet, a little powdery, and a little musky. Every time I applied it, I kept falling more in love with the scent. And it also applied to my underarms very smoothly and without any pulling or roughness. It's worth noting that I started using this deodorant during a heat wave; we had about three weeks of temperatures between 90-100 degrees F with 75-95% humidity. Surprise surprise, this deodorant held up! Mind you, it's deodorant and not antiperspirant, so, yes, I did sweat, but, no, I did not smell. I applied it once a day (or the night before) and had no issues. This deodorant also held up exceptionally when I was exercising and it did not leave me smelling bad at all after workouts. Now, where this deodorant DID NOT HOLD UP is when it came to hormone changes and (emotional) stress. Whenever that time of the month came around, the deodorant significantly weakened and I had to apply it again during the day. For me, that's actually normal and I pretty much have that happen with any deodorant. It's performance during stress was pretty terrible though. I went through a few months of intense mental/emotional stress and this deodorant completely failed me. The second I got anxious or stressed out, my armpits would start to pool and turn into a swampy mess and I would immediately smell terrible. Not once did the deodorant hold up to my stress sweat or funk, which was very disappointing since I liked it very much outside of that one issue. I ended up just throwing it away (since I wasn't sure when the stress would stop) and going back to my previous deodorant that worked wonderfully, now sells on Amazon, and I highly recommend: Kosas! It is pricey like this one, but the main selling point for me is that it contains AHA and BHAs that stop the funk and also brighten (and keep bright) the underarm area. It also neutralizes razor burn.

Probably not for me - fragrance is overwhelming. To it's credit it does last most of the day and, in my very limited use, did not irritate or cause itching which occurs with aluminum based deodorants after a weeks use.

although pricey, it’s a good product. lasts long, smells good can’t complain. In this summer months I go with this “waxy” one because the gel one tends to melt in the heat.

Not working I didn’t like it

Very effective is eco friendly doesn’t burn if I apply straight after shaved. Very easy apply and the fresh smell is wonderful all day long. Is slightly pricey but you get quality product.
