QWORK 4" Duct Splitter, 45° Degree 4 Inch Branch Metal Duct Connector 3 Way Hose Adapter/Splitter

I purchased this because I am a bit of a bad science at that times and I had limited space for a dryer and a portable air conditioner unit for the basement. Both of the hoses would run into this splitter and I attached it to the exhaust. I purchased two backflow preventers that allow air to go through but not backwards and I put them inside of this. So when the air conditioner is on, its exhaust is very hot and I cannot backtrack down into the dryer. As with the dryer, the same. Now I do have enough voltage to run both of them at the same time so I re-ordered the same item again in a bigger diameter to allow for the excess and not have any back pressure. I also ordered bigger backflow, preventers, and I am able to run this AC and the dryer at the same time through this waist pipe into the splitter and out of the house with no problem. This splitter happens to be made to be what I would consider like diesel in industrial grade. It’s very strong very solid. Be careful around the edges. They could be sharp, but that’s the same with anything like this. But it will not bend as you’re trying to attach things to it like some of the things you’ll find. It’s very adorable. You could definitely knock somebody out with it lol it’s not very heavy, but it is extremely solid. It’s not super thick. It’s about. I can’t say exactly but it’s average thickness of the exhaust pipe on the back of the dryer, it’s not easily bent. You would need something to bend it if you wanted to try to fit it inside something else and you need to bend it. You would probably need a tool because your hand wouldn’t do it. It fits perfect. It’s an excellent item because the backflow preventers that I bought were made in Germany and they are very precise and they have a foam ring with the gate that is divided in half it’s a butterfly split and it can’t be distorted at all. Otherwise it won’t work properly and this is also 4 inches and it fit inside with a little a little bit of force not much and they work with no problem. It does happen to have seems where it’s attached to itself the Y unit. And so I can only get the backflow preventer up to that point, but that was more than enough. It was inside the opening by a good inch and it’s all I really needed. It’s definitely a well crafted item. I highly recommend it. I’m not sure if it was originally made for this because one of my friends is a mechanic, and he said it looked like something from the diesel engine. He worked on and filling this item I would believe that could be true. It does a pretty good job at keeping the heat to itself as well whereas I have insulated most of the rest of the hose and the other angles attached. I have not insulated this piece Because the heat coming out of it is hot to the touch because of all the exhaust, but it’s not radiating into the room. If it’s a very accurate fit as long as you get other accurate fit products you’ll have no problem with this item integrating it into your lineup… there was another one on offer but this one was recommended as being cheaper and delivering much more quickly, which is what I needed so Amazon gets points for that! Order with no hesitation if this is what you’re looking for, then you found it!

This solved a problem I had with connecting a couple of bathroom exhaust fans. It worked great and is a well built heavy duty piece.

As described, received promptly. Perfect for combing two vent fans to one exit.

Arrived quickly in perfect condition.

Worked well for my use case to split some 4 inch exhaust ducting. 4 inch flexible duct fits around this ok where I secured with foil tape and zip tie/hose clamp. There are some sharp edges inside how they joined the "halves" together and spot welded together. Not sure if this might catch dust over time. Happy with this for the cost. I used 2 of them.
