Small, portable, and really great picture and sound for a projector
I love my projector more than I've ever loved my TV. After a move I sold my TV and kept my projector. The Nebula capsule 3 has really great sound and picture. I did some research when picking this one, and I preferred it for its small size, quality of picture and sound, portability, and price. I've projected on white closet doors and not really noticed the doors behind the image. Now, I use it in my living room on a light yellow wall and I can adjust the settings for the color of my wall. I like hosting people for movie nights and the projector is great because the picture is so big and no one has to fight for a good spot to see what we're watching. I like that it integrates with all of my streaming platforms too. It takes a minute to turn on, but otherwise it's a responsive system.

Anker NEBULA Capsule
I'm extremely impressed with the Anker NEBULA Capsule Mini Projector. Its compact size makes it incredibly portable, yet it delivers a surprisingly enjoyable viewing experience. It's perfect for movie nights, presentations, or streaming content wherever you go. The setup process was quick and straightforward, and the built-in Wi-Fi functionality makes it easy to access content without extra hassle. One of my favorite features is the built-in speaker, which provides clear sound and eliminates the need for additional audio equipment in many situations. Despite its small size, the projector produces a bright and sharp image, especially in dimly lit environments. The battery life is also convenient for portable use, making it a great option for travel and entertainment on the go. Overall, this is a well-designed, high-quality projector that combines portability, convenience, and performance in a compact package.

Nebula Capsule 3 Laser Projector
Overall this is an awesome product for it's size, features & picture quality. Just a litle larger than a soda can and you have a world of entertainment in the palm your hand. The Nebula Capsule 3 Laser Projector amazes on several levels. The sound that is projected is shockingly loud. I fill a bedroom thats 14 x14 at only 32 percent volume. The picture quality is mindblowing, mind you a good quality projector screen is a factor to maximize this...which I don't have yet. See video for a sample of out of the box settings image quality. There are so many adjustments to picture, screen size, sound ect. that cheaper projectors won't have and are found on this Nebula Capsule 3 Laser Projector. The user interface is slow to navigate due to the Google user interface with all the widgets, info, video previews, recommendations ect. which slows down the performance of this unit badly. The fix you might ask, well just look at the fifth picture for the answer. The Nubula Capsule 3 Laser Projector was faster to navigate, open/close apps & respond to remote button presses by a factor of ten (10) after the fix. The only negative that I have so far would be the remote, it won't light up when picked up every time, very frustrating. So I have to either press mute or raise then lower the volume for the remote buttons to light up most of the time. If the remote operated like the Nvidia Shield TV Pro Remote does then this would be a perfect projector. For those that were disappointed about the brightness, well remember this. A projector is meant to be viewed in a dark room, like when you go to the movies with NO LIGHTS ON. In my bedroom I have a nightstand lamp set to low and it doesn't affect the projectors picture at all. Overall I am highly pleased and enjoy the fact that I can watch a monster picture in my bedroom all from a projector that fits in my hand that's just a little larger than a soda can. Traveling with this is so convenient for it's size and the accessories that you can get. I got the tripod, case & portable screw mounted stand all from Anker. So yeah with the projector and all the accessories it's pricey though I bought when on sale at Amazon & saved a lot, all accessories were like free with money saved and then some. I highly recommend the Nebula Capsule 3 Laser Projector, one of many purchases that I love. Also remember made by a reputable company that puts customers first & listens to them.....Anker!

A profoundly durable projector well-worth the money.
OK. Right off the bat, this is NOT a daytime-use projector. 100 lumens gets you about as much in the day as a flashlight intended for the use of illuminating the sun. It just does not work in the presence of light (maybe a darkened room... with a bit of light...maybe). Just so you know, I take my freedom seriously. I like to have fun in different environments and indoor movies/gaming are traditions I can not abide. In a darkened room this beautiful piece of simply phenomenal conception is amazing. I am so fond of it that tears come to my eyes when I think of leaving it behind. It is so small, yet the resolution is fantastic. I get amazing resolution at 200 inches (screen size) and surprising versatility for a projector. Suck it Samsung (your TVs are bulky, expensive and strain my eyes). Furthermore, the Nebula Capsule (by Anker) can connect to another device (my Bose SoundLink Revolve speaker, in my case) if you do not like the sound quality (not the same as Bose, but surely impressive with size and all other things considered, right?). Not enough? You can download the iPhone app and use that as a fully functional remote-control for the amazon, Netflix, etc. programs already installed on the projector. You won't know the pleasure and fascination until you have tried it! I like to use this with my Nintendo Switch. With it's battery I can play games in parks (at night), on the roof (yes, I did this... at night), or anywhere dark where a wall or screen can be arranged (you may need either a very long extension cable or several of them - length/number depending on the distance to your nearest electric socket). I had to bring six three-foot extension cables (18 feet total) to the park next to my house to get this to work plus one adapter for the strange-looking socket at the bathroom there. The screen auto-adjusts to angled surfaces, so it does not matter if it's directed at, say, a slanted rooftop. It will adjust the screen and you will be watching happily (although earbuds are recommended if you have fussy neighbors, which was the reason I went to the park). I saved the best for last: this thing is DURABLE! My dog knocked it down from a stand (about 1 foot high) on top of a table (about 3 feet high) and it hit a ceramic-tiled floor (total of about a 4-foot fall) in an area near the lens. Aside from a minor scratch, my Anker Nebula shook it off (along with my horror at such a drop) and functioned as if to say either "What are you looking at?" or "I think my stand may need a minor adjustment..." or both. It would be inaccurate to describe my reaction at this as mere profound amazement. So you understand what was happening, it was a dark, cold and quiet night; my Dog already spooked the living daylights out of me with his aberrant behavior and I was watching Silent Hill and Toy Story back-to-back. These products are not usually made to survive such falls, so don't be surprised when I say I seriously considered getting an exorcist for this thing. Naturally, my imagining a retort coming from an inanimate object (which was still playing the movie) may be partly responsible for that consideration. In short: You won't need all the king's horses and all the king's men to put a Nebula Capsule back together again. By my experience, it probably won't break to begin with. This is just one experience mind you, and should not be taken as law! In any case, thank you Anker. I use this to give my family eye-strain-free movie nights. It is easy to use with or without the iPhone app that comes with it, so even my young sisters can use it. The smiles on my sister's faces and fond memories of our family together during these movie nights are possible only thanks to you.

SO HAPPY With This-- but READ THIS FIRST!!
I feel like a lot of the negative reviews didn't do their research before choosing a projector, and didn't bother to actually read any instructions... I spent hours comparing and contrasting projectors and finally settled on this one because of the built in apps. You *can not* airplay copyrighted content from your phone onto ANY projector (ie. Netflix/Hulu). With other, cheaper projectors, people plug in an EXTRA streaming device in order to utilize these apps. So they had to buy a projector PLUS a fire stick or roku or had to get a cable for their phone... all a lot of hubbub I didn't want to deal with. This projector has the apps built into it, so they all run from the projector alone. A lot of people said it didn't work with iPhone and I feel like this is because they were trying to airplay content instead of using the apps on the projector itself. I actually was able to airplay from the iphone MTV app (before I found out that the projector had one to download) and the video quality was delayed a lot. So just use the built in apps. They're there for a reason. However, using a mobile device is still required in terms of navigating through your apps. The remote control works for the projector's menu, but some apps like Hulu require you to use your phone as the remote control through the Nebula app. It basically turns your phone into a trackpad and a mouse. Easy to get the hang of. There's also a keyboard that pops up which makes it easy to search titles or input login info through your phone so you don't have to select one letter at a time. The app works fine on my iPhone 13 without any lag or connectivity issues. **** Now here's where you really need to pay attention:**** the app comes with Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime pre-loaded. Out of the box, you won't find Hulu US, Disney or HBO in the app store. Look on your main menu to see if there's an Upgrade button. If there is, go through those steps which will update the software and unlock those apps in the app store for you. If there isn't (or this doesn't work) send an email to their support asking to unlock the apps and they'll send you the instructions and a password to do so within 24 hours (seriously, they're really responsive even on weekends). Apparently they are still testing the projector's compatibility with these apps which is why it doesn't come default, but the updating process is simple (10 min) and all apps have run smoothly for me. I probably use Hulu the most out of all. The battery life has been pretty accurate for me-- 4 hours of watching straight before I get a notice that I'm low battery and need to charge. I've gotten down to 2%, then plugged it in and kept watching and that worked as well, so it charges faster than it burns battery which is nice. I also LOVE that there's an option to warp the projection image, which means if you have this projecting at an angle, you can adjust the picture so that it looks like it's being projected straight on and it's not stretched. We have it resting on our bed's headboard but the picture looks like it's being projected straight across the room. As it runs, there's a pretty subtle fan sound but that usually gets drowned out by the video's audio. It can get pretty loud (though we only watch it inside, not sure how it sounds outside). So overall, I think this is the BEST choice in projector if you don't want to deal with extra plugs, streaming devices, and you're willing to deal with the short update process even if that means emailing them. I've seriously enjoyed using it as a bedroom TV, as we had no place to put a physical TV but we had a big blank wall that works perfectly as a "screen" for this.

Great small portable projector
I had this projector since early this year. I've been using it for our vacations overseas, camping, in my garage while I was working on something. Occasionally we would have a movie night in our kids bedrooms. I sometimes use it while I am in my bed... I project it to my ceiling and lay down and watch all night... LOL Okay, if you are to complain that picture quality is poor I would say don't get this. Compared to the size of this projector picture quality is acceptable to my standards and actually it's pretty good. Sound quality is not bad either. I had no problem hearing the sound and if I needed more volume I would use an external speaker but with it's 360 degree speaker it was good enough most occasions. I stream Netflix, Amazon Prime Video through it's apps or use screen mirror on my iphone. I also stream movies using my DNLA capable NAS in my home network using VLC Player app. I know you can use Chromecast to stream but I don't bother since with the Netflix, Amazon Prime app and streaming from my home DNLA server is enough to watch at home. I had my son connect to xbox one through HDMI in our ski trip that we went with the friends and families and the kids had so much fun and they loved it! Capsule is now our must take item for any trips we make. When WiFi is not available I use the hot spot on my phone to stream Netflix or Amazon Prime or just use screen mirroring or have some movies copied into USB drive and watch it that way. There are many useful features you can use to enjoy your Capsule in many ways in difference occasions. Like I keep saying, this small projector has everything that it can offer to be portable and to my opinion that's the best part of owning this unit. Only downside you may find is "IF" you are looking for HD quality video. It's 480P and as your screen size gets bigger it will be blurry. For me up to about 60" screen size was pretty acceptable to enjoy. Also, do not expect to use this on a daylight. Most projectors are not good when you use it in daylight unless you pay a lot for a high-end unit. This projector works best when the room is dark. I find that having window shades down will help during the day time but when it's very bright day it won't work. I am a gadget geek and I just ordered Mars 2. I am curious to see if 300 lumens vs 100 lumens makes a lot of difference and also the 720p resolution which Mars 2 supports. I am sure there will be some noticeable differences but I am sure Mars 2 won't beat the mobility of Capsule. One of the things that you should consider is that Capsule can be charged with an external battery pack with the micro USB port in the back. So if you are outdoors and have no access to wall outlet then you can connect the power bank and keep watching with extended playtime. For Mars 2 you can't really do that because it requires higher power input than what normal external power banks offer and you can only charge through DC input using the proprietary power adapter. I ordered a laptop charger with enough output and I will be testing it with the new Mars 2 but it's pretty big and it will be cumbersome to carry Mars 2 and the big power bank. I know for sure that I will miss my Capsule's mobility. Bottom line - I like the Capsule very much so far and if Capsule 2 was on the market now I would certainly have upgraded to that but won't be available until mid next year and I'd love to get my hands on Capsule 2 if my budget will allow that when time comes.

Poor Picture quality
I do like this item because it was very portable and the volume was great. However, I gave it only three stars because the brightness of the picture was not very good. If I’m going to spend the money, I wanna make sure that it has great volume and the picture is clear.

So Far, So Good
Just received today and set up. As the title states, good so far. Not great/excellent, but not a disappointment yet. To be honest, it has more features than I need at the moment - Verizon sent me a Stream TV unit for free, so everything's already programmed on there. Operation/functions are relatively straight forward. The manual doesn't specify that Keystone Correction is under settings and that auto correction can be turned off. VERY disappointed in the horizontal correction (it couldn't even recognize that it was throwing near a corner of my room). Focus wheel is pretty good, and quality is better than my previous projector which died a sudden bulb death over the weekend (RIP my little 100-Lumens pico buddy). Sound is also decent, but yes, I do hear the running hum from 8 feet away, with the sound up kind of high. Handy that there's a remote, means I don't have to get off my butt to turn it on or off every day! Batteries were a pain (putting it super nicely, rated G) to get into the back though; the latch wouldn't release at all. Had to use something to compress it. Guess it means they won't pop out if you drop the remote??? Packaging was sleek, efficient, and nice/modern. Always a good sign. Minimal waste. Very eco friendly (that's a big thing for me, might be for you too, just an fyi)FYI. I think the biggest CON so far for me is that the charging cord is so short (leaving the D out, rated G still). It's gotta be no more than 2.5 feet? Maybe 2. It's not that I don't want to use it's wireless function, but why use it if it's not necessary. It's got a modern battery like cell phones and laptops; charge and drain too often repeatedly, it's useless; leave it charged too often, also not that great. But I can't run it while charging since the cord is too short. That's it so far, I will update as I see fit. And/or if and when this dies on me. My pico buddy lasted me 5+/- years of almost constant/daily use, so it's got a lot to live up to. But I like Anker products, and own a lot of them, so I have faith. **UPDATE - JULY 2, 2025** OK, I've had this bad boy for roughly 2 years, and I just saw an 'online article' about ridiculous 100 inch screen TV sold at Walmart for 1.5k. Now, I'm not going to tell you how to spend your money, but I'd like to point out (or repeat) that this beauty IS THE SIZE OF A SODA CAN and fits in my purse. Including all of the accessories. I did eventually end up adjusting my set up and the view is a lot easier. There is not more cord fatigue or indecision. Just dusting. But back to the point of the update, the article was depressing - can you put a 100 inch TV in your purse? No. And, this review, I realize I did not clarify before, but it was originally throwing about 120 inch 'screen' from 14 feet. That's movie theater style. My new set up is about 60 inches, but I don't regret it. I'd sacrifice a little bit of clarity for a portable and bigger setup. I don't regret this buy or my previous projector at all. They were the best purchases. (My family tries to borrow it all of the time for holiday stuff. My younger brother bought the newer version. My older brother had to leave his TV behind because the mover guys were going to charge him an extra $500 across state lines. Let that sink in.)

Best compact projector with in-built battery.
This projector is very high quality and highly recommended. Pros: - Google TV is in-built for all your streaming software - Supports Google Cast and Airplay (via Nebula software) - works even when it’s not too dark. - can be used as a standalone bluetooth speaker with dedicated button and quality is really good - automatic keystone adjustment and resize - compatible with camera tripods - compact size - very good picture 1080p resolution which is good enough for games and movies Cons: - doesn’t come with a stand or tripod - doesn’t come with a travel case - battery is good enough only for 1 movie - software sometimes freezes Despite the cons, this projector is the best compact projector I’ve seen especially for the price and portability.
