This drum set it awesome! My son wanted a full drum set for Christmas, but he has never played drums before, I wanted to make sure he liked it, and we don't have a ton of room for a full set. I had heard about these electric sets and wanted to give it a try. This thing is awesome. Super compact, charges really fast and sounds very close to the real thing. A couple of downsides would be that it can get really loud. I would make sure that if you are using headphones to make sure you don't put the volume up too high. It could definitely blow an eardrum. Also the pads are very sensitive, so playing this portable set is a lot different than the force needed to play a full drum set. Overall it is great especially for kids wanting to try drums, or for a drummer who wants something super compact to just mess around with.

Update:Customer service was fast and offered a refund. She said she would talk to the manufacturer about the issue.Sounds all blend in and it is ultra sensitive. Bought for my 10 yo to replace his drum set for lack of space and it is pretty much useless. Now I am stuck with junk.

Good for a basic drum pad. Don't expect it to replace a drum kit. It would be good for kids to bang around on. The drumsticks are pretty short. I think they are designed for kids. I bought this as a "try before you commit" tool. If I committed to learning how to play this drum pad, then I know I would commit to an actual drum set. You can definitely learn a lot from this pad. You will need to put in the time.I don't like the pedals. They are clunky and often miss triggers, or they double trigger. It's difficult to get the hang of the bass drum pedal, but it's also difficult to get the hang of any instrument.

He loves it

It worked great for about a month. Now it flashes yellow and makes a barely audible thumping sound before completely dying. Tried charging it again for it to work for thirty seconds before the yellow light and thumping returned. Then the yellow light went out, and nothing was working. Same pattern over and over. Very disappointed in the quality.

This is such a cute & unique gift for a kid that’s in to creating music! It has all the different drum sounds so they can put together their own beats! My 9 year old is in love with this!For parents it does have volume control & you can plug headphones in it!

Our child loves this. It sounds like a real drum set but takes up so much less space. Very glad we went with this one. I like that the one we chose had the images of the drums so that if he ever decides to try a real drum set he will be familiar with which ones make what noise

The sounds are comparable to the true sounds of a drum set, and also have many sound style options. My son and I both are disappointed in how loud it is though. I wanted to buy him something that he could practice on at home that would be quieter than real drums. This is not at all. Even on the quietest option it’s too loud for our tiny apartment. Also, my son has only practiced on this set 3 times and the foot pedals already don’t work.
