Good for plant roots. Helpful to mitigate hydrophobic planters.
Bought this large one for a 20gallon tomato pot (with herbs on the surface). Have several other smaller ones as well. I’m happy with this guy. It drains within a day or two in severe dry heat. But it helps keep the tomato roots healthy even when I’m not monitoring the pot soil daily. My favorite use is to get water into the fully dried soil deep within the planters when I’m looking to recharge potting soil that’s turned hydrophobic. A few fills of this and the deeper soil can be turned over and help the whole pot avoid runoff with new watering.

Best Way to Save on Watering
I put a few vegetables in planters and this olla is so convenient. I bought 4 so farand they work great as It allows the plant to get water where she need it more at the roots.With the olla I can water every other day or more instead of every day.

Good enough
Definitely waters plants and hasn’t broke yet. Pretty thin. My plants are either always thirsty or this thing isn’t thick enough to work as a proper olla because it’s empty at the end of every day, but it works for my needs.
