I bought this to make watering more consistent without constantly guessing when my plants are thirsty, and it does exactly that. Once it’s set up, the plant can take what it needs, and my soil stays more evenly moist instead of swinging between dry and drenched. What I like: - Helps smooth out watering, especially if you forget a day or two - Easy to use once it’s in the soil - Nice, clean look that doesn’t feel like plastic hardware sticking out of a pot Good to know: - It works best when it’s buried securely so it doesn’t wobble - You still need to match it to the pot size and the plant’s thirst level (small pots or heavy drinkers may need refills more often) - If your soil is super compacted, loosening it a bit can help the water distribute more naturally If you want lower-maintenance, more consistent watering, this is a great little upgrade.

It’s been a year or so. Love these. Comes with cork. Can use in flower pots and vegetable garden. Lightweight made of real clay. Holds moisture well. Plants love this instead of being water Logged. Plants happy and grow better. Love the smooth feeling running my hand across cool clay. Can look great a show piece too.

I decided to purchase because my sprinklers went out in my garden. I tend to forget to water and thought, why not. I decided to put this next to my summer squash, one by my cucumbers and one in my peppermint pot. We'll during the summer everything still thrived as in addition when I watered, I would fill these up. The peppermint did ok, but I think it's because of the heat and not because of this. I decided to purchase another set and prep my garden again with these. You can't see it sticking out so looks hidden in the garden and hasn't broken, so it's nice and thick. I do like how much water it holds. As for the installation, it was easy. Just dig a hole and keep the top part a bit above, so no dirt or soil goes in and it's done. Then fill it up with water. Works great

This is such a cool concept, and they’re working well overall. Giving 4 stars bc it seems that even when deeply saturating the soil in the container before filling the pots, most of the water is gone from the pots within 24 hours. That said, it’s definitely giving me peace of mind for short trips where I want to give plants a big more water while I’m gone. I have 6 of these pots in various containeds and think they’re with it.

Water like a dream. These have kept my plants alive this summer

I have purchased these ollas twice now. I absolutely love them! I was previously struggling to keep my balcony garden from completely drying out. Living in an apartment there was no easy way to water. Since setting these up, I can now go 3-4 days in between watering, even on the hottest days. I further extended that time to about a week and a half by simply “screwing in” some dark glass bottles with additional water on top. (Bottles are mountain valley spring water 33.8 fl oz for anyone interested in doing the same) adding these on has been a big help in gauging how much water is left. I know that if there is water still in the bottles then I am no where near needing to fill them up yet. I will continue to purchase these ollas if I decide to expand my balcony garden at all! They are just the right size for even some of my bigger grow bags. They are not flimsy at all. I love the way they look! Bonus points for their versatility since they can also support a bottle on top with a bit of finesse! The key is to make sure you’ve buried them deep enough, otherwise the water will disperse more quickly in the dry air.

I have been using these in my raised beds for veggies. They seem to work well but the small opening at the top is hard to fill them without getting water all over. They don't work as well as the DIY jollas I made with unglazed terra cotta pots and saucers that hold more water and a lot easier to fill.

Well made and just the right size to place in my planter. They cover 18 inches in all directions. I fill them twice a week. Great to keep plants fed when I'm away. Water goes straight to the roots and no water is lost due to evaporation. I would buy again.

I bought these in desperation to keep my pot plants alive!! I love them! I know my plants are watered all the time, I don’t have to remember every single day! They work a treat!!
