Worked fine.

Perfect fit for my Moen tub faucets. These will stop when the faucet is on the off position. Previous ones could rotate 360 degrees, sometimes allowing the faucet to be left dripping. I'm very happy with these.

I went to a bigbox store and they told me to order the knob replacement from the Moen manufacturer or buy a new kit. I bought a kit and then found this on Amazon and got it 2 days later. Works like a charm! Quick and easy. It's also worth considering if you don't feel like cleaning your old knobs, my was broke so needed it but just saying ...the price is right Bob.

This is only a replacement knob and does not include the round escutcheon plate. These knobs eventually break but they are easy to replace by removing the hot/cold indicator insert that covers the mounting screw at the front face of the knob.Make sure the knob is in the off position and take note of the direction it is pointing first. Gently remove the cover plate from the front face of the knob by prying with a putty knife, thin screw driver, or similar item. Turn and remove the screw underneath connecting the knob to the faucet assembly. Discard the broken knob and place the replacement knob in the same position as the one removed. Line up the stainless steel mounting screw and tighten with a screw driver. Place the cover plate over the front face gently until it snaps into place. You are done.

This Moen Shower Knob is an exact match for the one that needed replacing. It was easy to install, and it's been working great. These shower knobs are hard to find in the stores, and I was lucky to find it on Amazon. I may buy a spare, so I'll have it in case I need to replace the knob on our other shower.

Installed in a minute and the original cover fit perfectly. Highly recommend.

I've purchased several of these over the years. Unfortunately, if you try to buy a more durable metal handle, it doesn't fit right. Only these plastic versions seem to be exactly what Moen intended for use with their temperature controlled valves. Unfortunately, if you have a gorilla handling the handle, it will break. So a gentle touch should be all that is needed (make sure your valve is good, and it will be very smooth and easy to turn). Howevever, if the valve gets corroded, or full of hard-water deposits, the handle may become hard to turn, and crack. Then you'll need to buy another one ...
