Sharp out of the box I’ve done a few horses with it and it still cuts well. I was nervous because of the price but I’ll buy this rasp again.

Fine for backyard trims
Fine rasp for backyard trims but definitely not the sharpest around. Gets caught up easily on a tough hoof edge.

It's the worst! Don't buy!
This is hands down the worst rasp I've ever used! I suffered through one hoof trim with this terrible pice of garbage, then went and got my old rasp out of the trash for the next horse! The hoof sticks to the teeth of the rasp so one stroke and you're done. I've been doing hooves for 13 years and I know better than to be cheap and go with a brand I'm unfamiliar with however during this COVID 19 time of crisis I thought it might be worth it to try something new and less expensive. Big mistake! Now I've got to buy a good rasp and I've been having to use my old one all week while I wait for it to ship. The reason I went a head and got this rasp is because it had some good reviews. I am here to change that! ZERO STARS
