This is the best value ebike currently on the market
What I paid:$390 with free shipping(do not fall for the "199 ebike price with 199 shipping" --- its a scam as if you have an issue with your bike, you will only get refunded the 199 and not the 398 total)Received my ACTBEST core about a month ago. The bike arrived well packages and had no damage. Only minimal assembly was required:Seat and seat post.Handlebar assembly -- mounting to the bike framebike pedalsfront wheelReflectors.1 electrical connectionThat is it.The bike came 50% charged so was able to test it right away. It takes about 6 to 8 hours to charge it fully. This ebike is fairly light, only weighing about 15 lbs more than your average big box store non-ebike mountain bike (comparing to my Son's Schwinn Sidewinder). The frame is made of aluminum. Overall, feels well put together with no rattles or creaks - especially for an ebike at this price. It comes with a nice rear mounted kick stand that does not interfere with the pedals.Riding: The bike is comfortable and has both a quick release adjustable seat and an adjustable handlebar stem. It also has frame lugs for a water bottle cage which I installed. Many competing bikes in the class do not have space for a water bottle because they use clunky battery boxes that mount on top of the frame down tube -- this one has a removable (with lock) battery that is neatly integrated into the frame. This bike should fit anyone between 5-4 and 6-3 or soPedal assist is of the "Cadence" type, meaning when you pedal, it just turns the motor on full power. Torque sensing systems are better but they are more expensive and There are 5 pedal assist levels on this bike, each gives assist up to a certain speed as follows:Pedal assist 1: 11 mphPedal assist 2: 13 mphPedal assist 3: 16 mphPedal assist 4: 19 mphPedal assist 5: 22 mph (but it take a while to get from 20 to 22 mph)It also comes with throttle only (hahaha Europe, you cannot have this feature) -- so you can use the bike as a scooter if you wish (with obviously less range than using pedal assist). The throttle is a handy tool to launch quickly - especially when first getting on the bike or from an intersection. The bad thing about the throttle only on this bike is that it is tied to the pedal assist: You need to enable pedal assist level 1 through 5 to use the throttle only - so you cannot just pedal with hitting the throttle only when you need it. I would have liked that ability as it conserves battery. The 7 speed shifting worked well, however, due to the small front chain-ring, the gearing is very short and result of that is that you will effectively be "ghost pedaling at anything above pedal assist 3. Iwish it had a 3 speed front derailleur like most store bought standard mountain bikes - that would allow you to put a more comfortable pedaling effort in with pedal assist 4 and 5 - cruising at 20 mph more efficient (as far as the battery life is concerned). It would probably be possible to add a 3 speed front derailleur / chain-ring and shifter to this bike from an old junked bike or maybe cheap add on parts from Amazon -- something I may look into after the warranty is expired. The front shock is decent and has both adjustable preload (how stiff you want the shock to be) and a Lockout feature -- which sets the fork to rigid - to avoid you wasting some of your effort pedaling when road riding - on compressing the shock instead or moving the bike forward.Display: The display is simple mono LCD -- but I think these are better than the color back lit LCDs on other bikes - as it appears clear in the bright sunlight -- and if you are riding in evening and you get caught in the dark -- the display has a 3 level adjustable backlight. The display provides pretty much everything you need, speed, battery charge icon (wish it had a percentage though), pedal assist level, and interestingly a motor power level meter to tell you how much power the bike is putting in when your in pedal assist mode. This helps you make the battery last longer and enuring that you are getting some exercise (if that is your goal. It also has a built in USB port to power your phone or a rear light (this bike comes with a front headlight, but just a reflector for the back).Hills : This bike is stated to have a 500 watt motor -- but it feels like a 350 watt motor that might do 500 watt peak. The motor will get you up a slight hill without help, but steep long hills will require you to put in some pedaling. I ride in a very hilly area -- and this bike is great for getting over those hills --without over-exerting myself and slowing down to a crawl like I would on a regular bike.If you need more power than that - there is no way around it - save up your money and get a more expensive ebike which comes with a least a 500 or 750 watt nominal power motor and a bigger battery to go with it.Range: I have not drained the battery fully, but I did the following: Charged it to full, then took a 28 mile ride with some long steep hills. I used pedal assist 3 and put in some pedal effort but not too much. I had about 40% battery at the end of the ride. I was averaging 16 mph consistently. If you took this bike on a rail trail (which doesn't have hills generally) you could probably get the 50 miles at least at pedal assist 1.My wish list for improvement on this ebike:1) Make the throttle work independent of the pedal assist.2) A bigger front chain-ring for easier pedaling at Pedal assist 4 or 5 -- or better yet a 3 speed front hearing setup like most standard mountain bikes (and a few ebikes have)Who is this for? Someone that has a short commute to work and would like to have an easy ride in and maybe work up a bit of a sweat on the way home or someone just looking to get out for a bike ride -- and do a much longer ride more comfortably. It would serve well as to use to go down to a nearby store to run a quick errand.

Most fun I have had on a bike since I was a kid.
I got this Actbest Core Electric Bike last night. Was hot and the poor fed ex kid had been out since 5:30 am . It was almost 8 when he finally made it to my house. The box was intact and the bike was packaged well. It was as easy as attaching the front fork, handlebars, and pedals. Front wheel and disk brakes were straight and no leaks. I had the whole thing setup and battery charging within an hour. I was able to read the manual while charging the battery for the first time. First ride just to make sure everything was setup correctly was in the dark and I have not stopped smiling since.I had a 8 hour CDL class the next morning so I rode the bike to class about a mile away. After class rode home, put on some shorts, grabbed a bite to eat and went off for a ride. By the time I was done I had 10 miles on it within the first 24 hours. I was worried it might be slow but it’s perfect. The price was great and the bike is worth 2x what I paid. I thought maybe not having fat tires was going to be an issue but again Its setup perfectly. This is by far the best purchase I made this year. The plan is to ride it all summer and before the first snowfall pick up the ACtbest pioneer. For winter commute. Work is only a couple miles away and the bigger battery and fat tires will work better in the cold and snow. I like how light this core is. Getting it in out of the house, through a dog gate, and some tight corners is easy. Need to find a permanent place to park it but for now its in the living room and I am charging the battery. There was lots of juice still left but decided to top it off for either late night ride tonight after I finish this review and/or exploring all day tomorrow. The bike seat is super comfortable and standing on the pedals while riding was comfortable, and the bike felt balanced and solid. We have railroad crossings, potholes and construction all over town and the suspension, handling and braking were better or equal to all my other bikes most of them cost a lot more and will be going up for sale in the next couple weeks. I found I need to watch cars much more since I am moving like I am peddling my butt off and cars misjudge my speed. At stoplights I have been letting them go first so I can keep an eye on them and have come to expect cars coming off side streets to pull out if front of me. The brakes work great, and I never felt like I was going to hit anything besides a pothole that snuck up on me. It took that pothole much better than expected. Front wheel and handlebars stayed put and never had to hop off to straighten things up. I still avoid them but the ride has become much less stressful on some of the busier roads when your choices are limited.Hills are a different story but I knew that going in. If you have a bunch of steep grades upgrade to something with more power like the Actbest Pioneer https://amzn.to/4d0dPaM or some of their other models if you only have a few hills like I do just make sure you are in the right gear and go for it.Giving this 5 stars is a no brainier. If you have been on the fence about getting an ebike order the Core Electric Bike https://amzn.to/4f30kbT you won’t be sorry. If you already have one and looking to upgrade to the Pioneer https://amzn.to/4d0dPaM and start making some new memories. Life is too short to spend a nice summer day inside.Steve Godlewski

Well built e-bike.
We bought two of these bikes. This one and their step through e-bike and love both of them. Well built sturdy bikes. This one is my husband’s and he really likes it. We haven’t been on bikes in many years and the power assist really helps so you don’t get winded.
