they don't work
they just don't work. the tool came with it was jamming and the rubber attached to the clam can hold only some of the male/ female button but not all (they came with different sizes). The quality is so bad that either the craw bit poke out the surface or crooked before properly joined. it's really a great pity, they simply don't work for me.

Simple to use
These are really easy to use more so on lighter fabrics as the spikes aren’t really long. I think the thickest these might fit properly through would be a single piece of denim but anything thicker or doubled would need a heavier type if fitting, o tested one set on a medium weight cotton and a set on a really lightweight silky type material and both went on securely and even though I tried they wouldn't come off so I would definitely recommend them😁😁👍👍👍

Very difficult to use successfully because there are no instructions.
The studs used are only 10mm in diameter, much smaller than the standard size seen on most clothing. There are no instructions provided so you’ll need to make the most of the vague pictures in the seller’s description and my, hopefully, better ones.I struggled to work out how to use this tool; I was in the middle of writing a 1-star review as I just couldn’t get it right, when I thought I’d give it another go.The key is working out which part of the snap goes in which jaw of the tool and realising that if you push the parts in far enough, the white plastic will eventually grip them.Photo 1 shows the jaw that slopes in towards the centre (I’ll call it Jaw A); this is the jaw that the spiky parts fit into. Photo 2 shows the jaw that doesn’t slope in towards the centre (I’ll call that one Jaw B); this is the jaw that the male and female parts of the snap fit into. The white plastic around the jaws barely holds onto the parts, you need to coerce the parts down inside so that a very narrow rim of white plastic surrounds and grips them. Usually, the part will fall out as soon as you move the tool but if you get it just right, you can offer it up to the fabric. The process I use is as follows:• Load your choice of spiky part into Jaw A.• Load the male snap into Jaw B with the ‘male’ bit going down the centre hole of the jaw.• Position the fabric between the jaws, double-checking that you have the snap on the correct side of the fabric.• Squeeze the handles together.• Repeat for the female snap.It can be tricky to know which side of the female snap is which, hopefully Photo 3 will clear that up. The side that receives the spiky bits has a narrower gap between the inner and outer rings.Once you get the hang of this tool, it can produce some good results. The question is, should you bother struggling when better tools are available? If you’re on an incredibly tight budget and you’re prepared for some frustration, then buy it. Otherwise, shop around.

How dose it actually work
Not happy with this product at all, it dose not come with instructions, the actual studs don't stay in, I found this product actually unless ☹️

These are snaps but they don't snap together!
swift delivery yes but totally unfit for purpose. snaps that don't actually snap together to hold clothing together are pointless and worthless.
