I took a leap of faith buying these lights. Nearly all my bulbs burned out and I was not sure what bulbs to buy or if they’d fit the sockets I had. I saw this string of sockets + bulbs and took a chance it’d fit my village and it did. Also turned out the bulbs shared same socket size. These are LED and will actually be better than what I had.

I have a collection of Department 56 christmas village houses from the 80s and 90s. I was a little apprehensive of plugging multiple incandescent lights in with multiple plug-ins. Buying this strand of lights made such a difference with just one plug-in, and not worrying about the old bulbs getting too hot and starting a fire. I will purchase this item again in the near future.

The clips on these lights are too big to fit the holes in Dept 56 Village houses. We used pliers to squeeze them flatter and ended up breaking a few of the clips. The good thing is that the wire is very pliable so it was easy to route them out of sight. But it was frustrating that they don't fit the holes.

I am so happy with these lights, I can't wait to get my Christmas village set up! The biggest pain I encounter, each year, is dealing with all the cords for my Christmas village pieces. Last year, I didn't even bother setting it up because I didn't want to deal with the cords, extension cords, and trying to find enough outlets. This set of lights will allow me to set up 6 village pieces on one cord, rather than six cords. I plan to get a couple more so I can set up 12 pieces per double wall outlet, or 18 village pieces per 3-outlet extension cord. The cord is heavy duty, the lights are bright, and I am one happy Christmas decorator :-)
