I have a large dog, and whenever it's rainy outside, his weight causes him to sink into the ground a bit and get his paws just dirty enough to be annoying! This turns out to be a nice extra step to simply taking a towel and cleaning off his paws.The foam comes out easily and coats the brush well. The brush itself is firm enough to do the job, but soft enough to not be irritating to the pads. It allows me to get the bits that like to get stuck around the claws and between the toes quicker than just using a towel. There isn't really any scent to speak of, just a very slight chemical scent. This is good because anything else would cause the dog to lick the paws.If you have areas that your dog goes into that are muddy, absolutely consider having this inside the door for quick access and clean paws!
