This is a "mini" version of the famous Reed Geek reed tool for saxophone and clarinet users. When you buy a box of reeds, they are truthful not always perfect out of the box, you usually come across as stuffy, or hard to play. But this tool can fix any bad reed, make any reed playable (I recommend you watch the YouTube videos explaining how to use the tool. It's not just for pros, but for any clarinet or sax player. You'll start sounding like a pro before you know it.

I’ve been attempting to improve reeds for decades with razor blades and fine grit sandpaper with mixed and sometimes destructive results until I got the Geeklet. I went through “that box” of reeds with the Geeklet and almost all are now playable, and some are great. I know with some practice I will be able to improve almost any of my reeds. The extra reed life gained will more than offset the cost of the Geeklet, not to mention removing the frustration of dealing with marginal reeds.

It's a nice tool and very helpful if you have struggled with reeds. I am still learning how to use it but it had made a big difference with hard to play reeds. It's expensive and prior I had bought a pack of long metal lathes on amazon for a fraction of the price. They are very similar in performance so if you are on a budget you can look into that option

Amazing product! Have played sax for the U.S. Army band and wish I had this while I served. Fixes reeds instantly with no effort and has made a halfway decent box of reeds become handcrafted masterpieces. Great videos to teach correct way to use this tool as well! I will require serious students, that I give lessons to, buy this product!

This is an excellent product. I have used the diamond one and it was more difficult to use. The geeklet with the handle is the way to go! It has saved me so much on buying reeds. Really like the product!

I just received the Geeklet, and it really works. Some of my stuffy reeds have been given new life. I use to use a VanDoren glass sandpaper and a Rigotti reed knife. This replaces both. Couldn’t adjust the “wings” properly with the knife. The Geeklet does it all. I would suggest watching the video. I found it helpful.

Well made, handy size, will work for me as I learn the ins and outs of reed trimming and shaping. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I opted for synthetic reeds when I restarted playing the sax, because I remembered the hassle with natural reeds the first time round. Not anymore... So far, I've been able to make the current reeds I am using very playable. Still early days, but so far this little tool has been a game changer!
