Great mains powered atomic projection clock/alarm
I bought this same model several years ago and it's worked flawlessly ever since. I therefore needed two more for other bedrooms so now I have three. I'm so glad they still make this model. So many others are just battery powered but this one has a mains adapter and you can put two AA batteries in it for battery backup so in the event of a power outage you clock doesn't lose the time. Note, it's designed to run of the mains adapter so on backup batteries only the time can't be projected, however, the front panel LCD still shows the time, date, day and temperature. One other thing to mention. When you switch it on it can take a while before it picks up the atomic clock signal to correct it's time so be aware that if you are in some buildings that may have a poor signal (I'm thinking buildings that may metal or aluminium insulation in the walls) you may want to put the batteries in it first and then place it by a window until it's automatically set its time via the atomic clock signal. Once the time is correct place it wherever you want. Alternatively you can set the time manually. The red projection brightness is just the right brightness so not easily seen during daylight but sufficiently readable at night time with the lights out. Being red light it's not going to keep you awake like a blue light might. Great little clock, reliable, inexpensive, worth every penny. Definitely recommended.

I like it, does what it says on the box and more.
I bought this clock to replace a battery radio controlled clock which I had no problem I just wanted a mains clock. I have found the new clock excellent easy to set up and works off both mains and batteries. What they don't tell you anywhere in reading about it is that if you put batteries in and switch the mains off the clock switches over to batteries and vic-versa when the mains is switched back on, this is a big plus in my opinion as the clock keeps good time even if there is an electric cut. I didn't buy it for the Projection but on trying it out it is great and has not been off since the clock was switched on, no looking for the clock in the dark switching back lights on and knocking the thing on the floor just look at the ceiling at any time when it's dark and you will see the time in great big 6" numbers GREAT. It is not bright or intrusive in the dark. If you switch the back light on it is on 24/7 and is quite bright when dark so I don't have it on now I just use the Projection. The alarm I use about 3/4 times a week and wakes me with no problems so far. It is a little fiddle to set as there are 4 buttons and the 3rd one along sets the alarm on and off it also sets the snooze press it once for alarm twice for snooze and three for off and the symbol on the face is not very big so without glasses it can be a bit hit and miss. I bought it not expecting a lot but I think it is a very good little alarm clock and if I had paid twice as much I wouldn't of been disappointed.

Does the job well
I did some research before buying this clock. I looked at some cheaper models and decided to spend a little extra. I am not disappointed. The clock feels of good quality and not cheap and flimsy. The radio control works fine away from the window ( I note some other people have had problems in this area). The projection is great and the sole purpose for buying it. You can angle it to where you want, you can invert it if it comes out backwards and there is also a focus function as well. I have the projector on all night on the ceiling and it's not too bright at all, which was a concern before buying. There are 2 negatives for me: 1. You cannot turn the button sounds off ( or at least I can't figure out how) so when I set the alarm for the morning and my husband is asleep it is noisy. 2. You cannot turn alarm off with one button, you have to go into the alarm setting and then turn it off. Neither are a major big deal for me as I have got used to it, but this stops it getting 5 stars. Other than that a fab clock.

Excellent and well worth the cost
Very quick delivery and securely packed. This is an excellent bedside clock and there are so much useless rubbish on the market that it is well worth paying the extra £5 or £10 for it instead of the cheaper clocks. This HITO Atomic clock is compact and takes up very little space but has very readable display showing the time, room temperature, day and date. It has a dim light and brighter light switch.I find the projection of the time on my ceiling very useful and easy for my eyes in the dark. There is a choice of powering it by batteries or UK electrical socket. I have plugged it into the electrical socket and have not fitted any batteries and within a short time it automatically set the correct time, date and day.

Excellent projection clock
We've had a projection clock for years which unfortunately decided to die so I needed another and after reading the good reviews decided to buy this. We are thrilled with it. The projection is much better, bigger and brighter. You have to run the clock off the mains if you want the projection on permanently but as I intended to do this anyway it wasn't an issue. If you run on batteries then you hold the snooze button down for 4 seconds and the projection stays on for 30 mins. This also has the temperature on it too. It sets itself up as lng as it has a wireless signal. Great class ck and perfect for our needs.

Excellent all rounder
A great clock that's simple to operate. I bought to replace a fairly expensive Oregon Scientific that had died after 15 years and I wasn't disappointed. This new one is much more compact so is easy to take with you when travelling and the projection is excellent. It actually works as a bit of a night light in that you get some general glow in a pleasant red ambience. Sounds horrible but it's actually nice. It feels good and solid and well put together, so thoroughly recommended.

Nice clock
A smart looking clock that is easy to set up and keeps good time. The clock set itself correctly within a few minuets of being plugged in. The projection and backlight can be independently switched on and off and the projection clock can be swivelled to hit a wall or ceiling and the display can be flipped 180 degrees via a switch. The temperature sensor agrees with our house thermostat. We tried an Oregon scientific model first, but it failed to get a signal for the clock setup and the temperature was way out.

Could have been designed better, projection light is super bright and cannot be adjusted
The HITO Atomic Radio Controlled Projection Alarm Clock is quite poorly designed. It has no ambient light sensor, thus the projection of the time and temperature (its main future) is too bright at night. It is so powerful that it is quite readable during the day, which is not when the feature is being used. The purpose of projecting the time is so you can see it at night without it illuminating the whole room. You can however quite easily reduce the brightness by adding a gel film filter over the projection lens, however this tends to blur the text displayed, so I not ideal. Otherwise, the LED display could also have the backlight reduced automatically as it is far too bright to use at night. The LCD panel is actually quite small with a very thick border, and it would have been helpful is a larger LCD panel was used, as even within 30 cm it can be quite hard to read in daylight. The unit is very light weight, so adding some rubber bumps to the bottom allow it to stay in place, otherwise the very stiff DC power cord make it difficult to position. Otherwise, the time sets itself up within an hour, and the temperature agrees with my other thermometers within 0.1 C. I would not buy this model again.

Oanvändbar i Sverige
Klockan levererades med amerikansk stickpropp. Oanvändbar klocka, usel service. I tillägg skall jag nu köra 45km för att lämna in den fekaktiga produkten hos DHL. Riktigt dåligt, Amazon
