Fuel filters are often overlooked and are often a problem.
I learned long ago that ignoring this things is not a good thing though that still hasn’t made me want to slither under a vehicle as a contortionist to get the old one out and the new one in. this one is actually pretty easy to do on my ’01 Grand Prix but others have required special tools and three hands. Old school fuel pumps and filters were mounted on the engine and often had a glass bowl for the filter so you could see when the filter was due to be replaced. Now, you have to wait until the MPG’s start to drop, the engine runs a little rougher or it kills your fuel pump trying to push gas through a dirty filter. I don’t put a lot of miles on my rigs so every few years I just replace it so price is always a consideration and at about 9-bucks that’s a decent price. Having replaced a lot of these over many years I’m not sure how much better one is over another but I’ve been more comfortable with the ease of replacements when the filter is from the OEM supplier. I purchased my car used and there was some issue with the correct mileage when I registered it because someone had swapped out the gauge module and that gave them a fresh set of miles that was likely much less than what was actually on the car so I replaced this and the fuel filter. I’m out in the boonies and fuel pump failures don’t often give you hint they’re about to happen so fro the few bucks it cost I at least feel better even though the new one could fail quickly. I had hard starting issues on my ’99 Expedition in cold weather but one running it was OK for the day and it turned out to be the fuel filter was clogged and was wearing out the pump… replacing the filter solved the problem but a new pump added another 4 MPG. Since I can’t tell what condition a filter is in without removing it putting the same one back on is not wise so putting it on a schedule with other things like oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs etc. takes the guesswork out of it. if you have an older vehicle and what looks to be the original filter it wouldn’t surprise me so check it out and replace it before it causes some more expensive issues.

Great part
This is a very affordable fuel filter. It is not the easiest car part to install. You need to practically crawl under the car and manipulate yourself to get this into place. That is more of a car structure issue than this part. It's simple to install if you know what you are doing and can get under the car easily. No issues with the part and works great. Fuel filters are much easier and more affordable to replace than the fuel pump which can be damaged if you leave a bad fuel filter in place for too long.

Genuine GM parts to the rescue
It's always nice to use EXACT replacement parts when doing this sort of thing. This is the identical model filter to the ancient one that I took out (shame on me). It of course went right in with no problems and thank heavens, it wasn't hard to get to on the Buick. No leaks. Very pleased. The Amazon Garage system feature has consistently sent me the perfect parts for my car for a few years now.

Worked great on 99 Chevy Lumina
Worked great on 99 Chevy Lumina. Took about 20 minutes to install without lifting the car (tight squeeze). Car had 93000 on it, and I am confident it hadn't been changed before. Black gas poured out of the old filter. Good preventative maintenance to extend the life of the fuel pump.

GREAT FILTER!!!
After letting the car sit for a while, I decided it was a good idea to change the filter. Well, let me tell you I was very lucky to have not broken anything getting the old, rusty one off. Do yourselves a favor and not let years go by before replacing your fuel filter.

Five Stars
Fits my 98 Oldsmobile intrigue, last one was apparently really clogged as we found out after changing it. A combination or my engine misfiring because of some horrible spark plugs and wires and plugged up fuel filter made for some horrible gas mileage. Now it has over doubled and I'm stoked.

Seems as good as original filter.
1998 Monte Carlo, 32,xxx miles. Still had original filter which was not plugged--but once it's removed there's little point to not putting a new one back on. There was debris in the old filter, but it wasn't hard to blow through.Very easy to change, no leaks once the fittings were secured. Entirely satisfied.

Perfect Fit For GM
Perfect fit for my '97 Buick Le Sabre. This AC Delco filter seems to be higher quality than the Fram filters I usually buy, for about the same price. I try to use AC Delco parts for my GM vehicles whenever possible. Like all brands, it was very easy to install. I like to replace mine every 30K miles.

Quality part fit a 1997 Oldsmobile 88
Good quality part. Genuine part just like from a dealer. Installed on a 1997 Oldsmobile 88. Some Gm rust penetrant and inhibitor made the installation a breeze on the stuck nut on the fuel line. Filter filters as it should and does not restrict flow.

I've always looked to ACDelco for quality.
I've always trusted ACDelco for their quality of products, but this time they let me down a little. The fuel filter came with rust on the outside of the product, even the filter that was on my car didn't have rust on it. There's no telling what the actual inside of the filter looks like, but since I had to put it on my car I hope at least that part is okay. I'm disappointed in this specific order, I've come to expect better from this brand.

Fuel filter
Good product, easy replacement, good price. Make sure you pull your fuel pump fuse while the car is running to release pressure so it doesn't spew on you when you disconnect it. It'll still pee on you but it's no sprayer.
