This set arrives in sealed packaging.The large plasters have a soft cotton inner part to absorb castor oil (castor oil is not included with this product).I found it easy to remove the backing (one piece at the centre, and one piece round the edge) to reveal the soft cotton and the the adhesive edges.There are various uses for these - I have used on my lower back and on my foot so far.They are easy to apply and stick well. I just put a small amount of castor oil on and there was no leakage at all. I have sensitive skin but had no adverse effects from these and they left no rash.These are easy to remove (unlike many plasters). Once removed, the adhesive is not sticky enough to apply again, as they are designed for one use only. (Although I must admit I have wrapped one around my foot again under a sock to hold it in place!)I think they are really useful and will be using regularly for applying castor oil to painful areas until (hopefully) no longer needed!I am pleased with them and recommend trying them.

Nice thick sticky edge.2) ++* Organic Cotton Centre pads.3) ++* Stuck to Hubby First-time, perfectly again this evening.(Last night Hubby was convinced he would need Duct Tape to keep it on all night & HE WAS AMAZED THIS MORNING, that his was still attached, even with all his wriggling throughout the night.)4) ++* He has had HotWater Bottles on the castor pack patch on his stomach & another across his knees, for the past hour & is now, already Snoring his head off. I’ve used these twice so far, the first time round it leaked a little but the second time I didn’t use as much castor oil and it worked perfectly.These are a lot more easy to use compared to the usual straps what wrap around you like a belt.I would recommend to anyone who uses castor oil compresses.
