Roller Derby Star 600 Women's Quad Skate

The good:These are terrifically comfortable skates, and a perfect fit. They're true to size. I'm just learning how to skate, and I've been going to a smooth, flat parking lot nearby. They work well enough unless I hit a crack or a rock - I think the ride would be smoother if I replaced the wheels with softer, outdoor wheels. These have served me well for learning.The not so good:After tripping three times, and the toe of the skate boots is really ripped up - the material the boot itself is made out of is realllllyyyy thin. There's no hole yet, but four more trips and there will be. I've taken the skates out four times, and the toe stops are already showing a lot of wear. I don't imagine the skates will last long, but that's okay - I wanted a cheap pair so that I could learn and find out if I wanted to maintain the hobby.Hope that helps. Happy skating!

I'm a beginner and I bought this because I recently got a job as a roller girl in a car hop themed restaurant. I was hoping for something cheap but still reliable and this was it!I love how it doesn't have a little heel like the other skates because it seems like it'll put less pressure on my foot. These skates are pretty comfortable and do come in a little larger than expected (i'm a size 5.5-6 and I bought size 5 for a better fit). I'm not too big on the wheels as other people mentioned, but I'm new to all of this so I wouldn't really know! I was practicing on tiles to imitate how it would be like at work and it was quite slippery!Even though I had to buy different wheels, these skates still seem pretty worth it to me given the comfort and value!

This skate is sized just a bit large. So if you normally buy a 6.5 to get the width, but are actually a 6, then just buy the size 6. It should fit fine. They are lined with a nice thickER than normal material. Which I imagine, would help prevent blisters.We use them at the skating rink, and as inexpensive as they are, I bought this as an extra set to have for a friend who comes with my children.I bought another set from Walmart over their web site, very similar in price and construction, but the ones from the competitor had to have the wheels and stoppers tightened. They were so loose, that they wobbled right out of the box. But this set I bought from Amazon, worked great from the get-go.

True to size; order the half size down rather than up. I wear a 6 1/2 and originally ordered a size 7. I quickly found out that they were way too big and even several thick socks didn't make much of a difference. I exchanged them for a size 6 and with a thick sock, they're perfect. The non half sizes of these skates accomodate for the half size if needed.They are adorable, the ankle support is great, and they are really really comfortable! They don't seem tough to break in either, and I had no blisters or rubbing after about two hours of skating.The only complaint I have about them is the wheels are pretty tight and don't have much wiggle room as far as loosening them. It takes a little more to get them going and you don't have much roll time. However, the tighter wheels do give me much more stability, which is great for a beginner like me.

Whether you're learning "again" or learning for the first time, these are pretty good "beginner" skates. I did read some reviews before I bought these that stated there was no "give" in the skates...meaning, they didn't roll or people had a hard time getting them to roll. Skates are not supposed to roll unless you propel them to do so by pushing off with the other foot, otherwise, you'd never be able to stand up. That being said, these fit comfortably, seem to be pretty well made, and are good skates. I'd recommend them if you're starting skating. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they showed up with the stopper already scuffed...which is totally bizarre, but not worth sending back.

These skates are well crafted and can be easily used outdoors and not just at a roller skating rink.

I originally bought these for a birthday party that a family member was having. This held up pretty well. They are great for basic skating but I would not try to cut a rug in these things. while skating I made a sharp and the back axel popped out of place causing a fall accident. I force it back in place and It was like new again.

It's a skate. A cheap skate at that. The first time I wore them the stopper got all scratched up. Whatever happened to the rubber ones that stopped you slowly? Also, the wheels can't support 100lbs and so they don't spin properly. A real workout!Bought them to skate with my son outside, we need to change the wheels and then we are a go. I'd imagine if they were inside they'd be just fine.

I gave this to my daughter for her birthday, she loves them very much. Hasn't taken them off her feet in a week, only to go to school and sleep...LOL. Only problem I have is that there is no arch support. I will buy that and insert them myself. But all in all very satisfied. Thanks!

it doesn't state that they are us sizes when purchasing. only I read other users reviews I wouldn't have known . im still not sure what size they are. my daughter is a uk 5 and I a uk 7 yet the skates fit both of us snd are a us 8

I bought it for my daughter on her birthday. I was worried about sizing but they are a perfect size. She loves them. So that makes me happy.

I have ordered this rollers, but unfortunately I made wrong the size conversion. They arrived with a smaller size. My mistake!Excellent customer service, I was refunded and I have received after a while the right size.They look awesome, I can't wait for some sunny days to try them on!!
