Great product! Worked when nothing else did.
Winter weather brought me dry, chapped and sore lips. My usual drug store brand, a high end brand and even an antibiotic ointment didn't help at all. After reading some good reviews of this product I decided to give it a try and am so glad I did! I put it on before bed and woke up with much improved lips. It took a couple days to completely heal and this product kept me comfortable during the healing process. The lip balm goes on clear and has no fragrance or weird taste. I was so impressed with the product, I bought a few more tubes to make sure I always have one with me.

Great Lip Balm That Really Works!
This lip balm is amazing! It works from the very first use my lips feel soft and hydrated right away. I love that it has no color or flavor, just pure moisture. The only downside is that it’s a bit small for the price, but the quality makes it worth it.

Best Lip Balm Ever
Best lip balm ever!! I have been looking for a lip balm that doesn’t make me feel like I need to reapply every five minutes. This lip balm keeps my lips hydrated and feeling soft for hours. So glad I did some research and found a product that doesn’t put stuff in it that makes your lips dry out in purpose. I’d recommend this product to anyone!

Hydrating and gentle, but a bit small ✅
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lip Balm keeps my lips hydrated and soft. The texture is smooth and easy to apply, and it absorbs quickly without feeling sticky. It has no strong scent or taste, which is nice for daily use. It works well on dry or chapped lips, but I wish the tube was slightly bigger and the moisture lasted a bit longer. Overall, it’s gentle, effective, and a good quality lip balm.

Hooyeauh
Keeps lips moisturized. Doesn't leave them feeling cracked after. Not sticky, not oily. Picky-bish approved. Replaced and did a better job than C.O. Bigelow Lemon Lip Balm #1420

Tiny tube and does not do anything for dry lips.
Doesn't work any better than aquaphor or vaseline which both are much cheaper, tube is tiny for the price.

The Only Thing Getting My Lips Through Accutane (With One Important Caveat)
Starting Accutane has completely redefined what “dry lips” means for me. This isn’t normal chapped-lip season dryness — this is painful, cracking, peeling, can’t-smile-comfortably dryness. I’ve tried just about everything people recommend: Aquaphor, Vaseline, Laneige, thick occlusives, medicated balms, overnight masks, you name it. Some helped temporarily, some made things worse, and most felt like they just sat on top of my lips without actually repairing anything. That’s where La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lip Balm B5 comes in — and I genuinely don’t think I could stay on Accutane without it. What makes this different from standard lip balms is that it actually repairs rather than just coats. The texture is thick but not sticky, creamy but not greasy, and it sinks in far better than petrolatum-heavy products. It doesn’t just create a barrier; it noticeably calms irritation and helps my lips feel less raw within minutes. If your lips are cracked, burning, or inflamed, this takes the edge off almost immediately. Another huge plus is that it’s completely fragrance-free. When your lips are compromised, fragrance can sting or quietly worsen irritation over time, and this is one of the few products I can apply repeatedly without any tingling or burning. The shea butter provides real nourishment, and the B5 (panthenol) does exactly what it’s supposed to do — supports healing and barrier repair. That said, this is not a perfect standalone product, especially if you’re on Accutane or have severely dehydrated lips. The biggest limitation is longevity. On its own, it does not last through the night. I’ll apply a generous layer before bed, and by morning, my lips feel better than they would without it — but still dry. This isn’t because the product is bad; it’s because it’s more of a treatment balm than an occlusive seal. It absorbs, which is great for repair, but that means you lose that locked-in hydration over several hours. Here’s how I’ve learned to use it for maximum results (and this matters): Wet your lips with water — not saliva. Saliva actually worsens dryness over time due to enzymes. I either rinse my lips lightly or tap on a bit of water. Apply a generous layer of Cicaplast Lip Balm B5. Let it sit for a minute so it can absorb and do its repairing work. Seal it with a lip mask or occlusive. I use a thick overnight lip mask or even plain petrolatum on top. This step is non-negotiable if you want to wake up with hydrated lips. Used this way, it’s an absolute game-changer. My lips are noticeably less cracked, less painful, and far more resilient throughout the day. During the daytime, I’ll reapply this alone as a treatment balm, and at night I always layer it. If you’re expecting a glossy, cushiony, all-in-one overnight lip product, this may disappoint you. But if you understand that this is a repair step rather than a final seal, it becomes one of the most effective lip products out there — especially for people dealing with Accutane, tretinoin, eczema-prone lips, or chronic barrier damage. Bottom line: this isn’t flashy, scented, or trendy — it’s clinical, functional, and extremely effective when used correctly. I’ll be repurchasing it as long as I’m on Accutane, and honestly, probably even after.

Yup! It’s a winner.
I’ve never had chapped lips in my life & about a week ago I started noticing my lips were dry & peeling. Even noticed a dark spot under my lip. Decided to purchase this lip balm & it’s been great. I’ve been using it for 2 days now & my lips no longer burn/sting. It’s a yes for me! No complaints. Updated review: As of 4 days later my lips are no longer dry/chapped. The tube is hard to get out but a little goes a long way. It’s still a yes for me!
