Easy to install. I drilled a 5/8" hole to pull electrical wires through. All Good . I did mount a 2x4 on the inside of the structure to screw this mounting block into . Durability unkown at this review because its only been about 3 months . I would buy it again if required

Great looking product
Seemed very durable just didn't work for my project.

Great Product but Didn't Fit
Overall this mounting plate is a quality product. However, after testing the fit, the gap between my siding and the plate was very large. I was afraid that even after caulking the gap, water would get into the electrical wires. I'm sure it will fit perfectly on 1/2 inch lap siding but it didn't work for my 5/8 inch lap siding. Although the measurements are close, there is definitely a difference in how these two dimensions affect the quality of the fit. I appreciate that I was able to return it for a refund.
