Comfort Cool CMC Thumb Brace - Black, Left Hand, Medium Plus | NC79558

I have such pain in my left thumb and the brace has helped me so much. It keeps my thumb from going out of joint.

Originally, I went by the instructions to measure across the knuckle for the brace. I ordered a Small/Med & it was too small. It cut the circulation off in my thumb. I sent this back and ordered a Medium, which fits perfectly. The strap that fits around the thumb adds a great deal of stability and there is no hard metal in the brace. I personally like this because it's soft yet stable. I wear it only at night right now because I recently had a cortisone shot, which alleviates the pain totally, for 3-4 months. My doctor and I talked about surgery, which would be a permanent fix, however, the down time would be significant - 4 weeks of complete disuse of left hand, (I'm left handed). Plus 4 more weeks of very little use. Complete healing would take a total of 1 year. I was all for it in the office, however, have reconsidered since I've read all about the surgery and down-time involved. I think the brace will help with delaying the cortisone injections.

I should have ordered a large. This one works okay but fits a little too tight. Easy to use and has great support.

I have pretty bad arthritis in both of my thumbs, and this was recommended by my physical therapist. I purchased this one to replace my original one, as it had seen better days. I love the ability to adjust if you want it looser or tighter around your wrist and then with that extra piece of material that you flip around and lock it in, that is also part of the adjustment. I'm able to use my hand and get the support that my CMC joint needs.

This splint was suppose to be the same manufacturer model that the Doctor's/Physical Therapy office had me try when I was diagnosed. The one in the office had very firm support that restricted the thumb to move to almost nothing. The one that came was flimsy and provided no support. I could move my thumb almost fully. The PT took very precise measurements and I ordered one size smaller to ensure a tight fit. This splint fit my hand just a little tighter than the one in the office so I am glad I ordered the smaller size. But with no restriction it did not help my condition. The $14 ACE support have been using for my other hand provided better support than this one.

I bought one splint 4 months ago but the the sticky joint is no longer sticky any more. The strap comes off easily all the time. The splint is no longer working. Does the product have any warranty? I cannot find warranty info anywhere. If not, could you send me a free replacement since I got this one only 4-5 months ago? I am aware you are just a distributor, not the manufacturer. But the philosophy is that if I buy a product that has defects from Walmart, I go to Walmart for change or refund; I do not have to contact the manufacturer in this regard.

Kinda floppy doses not help with swelling

I had to return, it was too small. Had to pay $23.00 in shipping, not impressed. First time ever, I have had to pay for a return on Amazon.
