Absolutely love this baby casting kit. The instructions were easy to follow, and the whole process was much simpler than I expected. It captured every tiny detail perfectly — from little wrinkles to tiny fingernails — and the finished casts came out beautifully. The materials felt high quality, and it was reassuring knowing everything was baby-safe and non-toxic. I also liked that the kit includes enough materials to make two casts, plus paints and tools for personalising them afterwards. It made such a special keepsake that we’ll treasure forever. A lovely idea for new parents, baby showers, or gifts for grandparents. Definitely worth buying if you want something meaningful to remember those tiny hands and feet before they grow up too quickly.

I bought this hand casting kit as a keepsake for my mum, who has recently diagnosed with an illness. I wanted something simple and meaningful that we could do together and treasure for years to come, and this was absolutely perfect. We held hands while the cast set for around five minutes, then gently removed them and applied the plaster to finish it off before leaving it to harden for 24 hours. At first I thought I had done something wrong, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the final result was beautifully presented. It’s amazing how something so simple can capture such a special moment and turn it into a lasting memory we can look back on. One idea I’d recommend is doing it on a significant day or occasion, and even engraving the date on the base to make it even more personal. Don’t hesitate to buy this. such a small cost for something that preserves a lifetime of memories.

Good kit, I didn’t quite follow the instructions as it said as my baby is wriggly so needed it to set quicker . Moulds came out really well compared to other kits I’ve bought. Bought it twice.

Believe me when I say I never write a review for anything but this I had too, my mother has an incurable illness and I’m all about capturing special moments with her, this casting kit has blown me away, so easy to do and the results are amazing, it picks up every detail, now I have a treasured memory I can keep forever. We left ours overnight to make sure it was fully dry, don’t hesitate in buying it and missing out on a special moment x

Absolutely horrible! I brought this kit as I was told via asking and having a look that I could use this casting kit for my dog to do a casting of her foot. I coated her foot in protroleum jelly to stop anything sticking to her fur. The alginate molding powder was awful, we followed the instructions, we held her foot in there and we couldn't get it out! When we finally did the mold was ruined and most of the molding powder was dried clumped to her fur, we couldn't get it out, ended up having to take her to the groomers to remove it. The fact the product comes up when you search for animal safe casting kits its an absolute joke, the bigger fact that when you ask if this would be a suitable product, it says it is again not true. If you are looking for a product to do a keepsake casting of you pets paws DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. If I could return it I would!!

Really good casting kit! Had seen a 3D cast for our baby through a company who wanted over £150! Went on Amazon and found this kit. Really reasonable price and good step by step instructions. Hand cast didn’t turn out as well only due to baby wriggling so definitely a 2 person job but overall really happy with how it came out!

I would say this is a good kit but i wouldn’t recommend if your baby is under 2 as we tried 4 times (2 kits purchased) and all the times failed because of the wiggly toes. We tried when baby was newborn and also 8 months. Save yourself the money and wait until they can actuslly keep their foot still.

Ho comperato questo prodotto per fare un regalo di anniversario alla mia compagna e devo dire che il risultato finale, anche se non pienamente, mi ha soddisfatto. Premetto che è la prima volta che mi cimento in un'operazione del genere. Allora posso dire che in quanto a semplicità d'uso, per un risultato buono il prodotto è fantastico. Il venditore ancora prima che arrivasse il pacco mi aveva spedito per mail una serie di indicazioni dettagliate sull'uso del prodotto. Ho gradito molto la cosa. Il funzionamento di per se è molto semplice e insisto sul fatto che per iniziare lo considero un'ottimo prodotto da cinque stelle. Tutto è più o meno calcolato per ridurre al massimo la possibilità di errore. Nella confezione c'è il bidoncino, l'alginato in confezione da 450 grammi e la dose precisa di acqua da miscelare, (Io ho usato una frusta elettrica, si pulisce poi molto bene) e un kilo di gesso fine. Ho avuto solo due problemi, non ho fatto una prova prima come consigliato quindi ho preparato tutto l'alginato e una volta pronto e mescolato nel suo bidoncino abbiamo subito inserito le mani come da prove fatte precedentemente. Non siamo riusciti ad andare fino in fondo dove volevamo perché con due mani adulte cominciava a uscire l'alginato. Se potessi tornare indietro avrei messo nel bidoncino un paio di bicchieri in meno di alginato per andare più in profondità con le mani. In aggiunta a questo quando sono andato a versare il gesso nello stampo una volta asciutto mi sono reso conto che rispetto alla forma da riempire il gesso era poco. Ne avrei dovuto avere almeno un bicchiere in più e sarebbero venuti un po di più i polsi. Ma fa niente. Qualche consiglio. Se usate le mani come stampo un po prima mettetevi della crema per non avere le mani secche. Lo stampo non abbiate fretta di riempirlo di gesso. Sciacquatelo bene e soprattutto lasciatelo asciugare bene a costo di fare il versamento di gesso anche il giorno dopo. Verranno meno bolle e sarà più semplice poi da pulire. Io una volta asciutto e pulito al gesso ho dato una mano di bianco opaco per minimizzare la polvere. Come potete notare dalle foto ho fatto un supporto in plexi con un'incisione e l'ho attaccato con il silicone trasparente. Il risultato a livello visibile è gradevole secondo me, da vicino si vedono delle imperfezioni, se dovessi rifarlo il secondo tentativo sarebbe indubbiamente migliore. Se dovessi rifarlo prenderei alginato e gesso in confezioni separate in modo da poter avere una scorta in più di prodotto. Per i primi stampi lo ritengo un'ottimo prodotto e lo consiglio assolutamente.
