Winsor & Newton 3030929 UV - varnish glossy, protective layer for acrylic paintings - 125ml bottle

The gesso paint does all it needs. It's a reliable, good acrylic primer that has a great "toothiness" when dry. It's my go to. Would normally rate 5 starsWhat's not so good .. the delivery. At some point it's been knocked hard and the lid has partially come off the container leaking gesso into its wrapping. Thank heavens the wrapping was sealed. I'm not returning as it's still usable but guys you need to sort out how you package this, using padding so it's not rattling around in the box

This varnish is very easy to use. Goes a long way. I pour a little at a time into a shallow bowl and apply with a one inch brush. It drys quickly and twenty four hours after first coat I apply the second. The painting is then protected.

Is the varnish quite thick as I want it for watercolour on plaster.
