Plantar Fasciitis huge pain relief
I was desperately searching for relief of my Plantar Fasciitis pain, just finished to wear the "Boot" and was going thru intense physical therapy, bought custom shoe insert for 325 dollars, several other gel inserts and gel pads: well, therapy helped, but to wear any of my Snickers, shoes, flats, running expensive shoes was always very uncomfortable and painful...oh :((I started to search and learn about walking and our leg muscles, adjusted my walk, added massage for every day foot saving routine, stretching and bottom of the foot muscles strengthening exercises. I wanted to be able to walk, run again and go back to my Karate! So, decided to try this strange looking shoes. Bought size 40 (8.5 is my US size) fit perfectly with 5 toe socks.Very light, breathable,I don't feel any need to add any gel inserts to support my very high arch or to take off shock from the heel.Walking my dogs up to 2 miles almost every day,in the park and near the lake.No problem!! recovering from 1 year long pain!!! shopping again! looking for another water proof pair for autumn.

V-Run vs. Spiridon MR
Overall, I prefer the V-Run, even for trail runs, unless you are really going backwoods (off-trail/an infrequently traveled trail with sticks and obscured jagged rocks).I wear an 8 - 8.5 in most shoes. I ordered a 40 in the V-Run. They were too big, but wearable. Decided to keep them because I didn't want to wait 5-7 days for another pair to arrive. I also decided to get another (smaller) pair, and to try the Spiridon MR, because I do a lot of trail running. I ordered a 39 in the Spiridon. They are way too small. The material is much stiffer, which is part of the sizing difference. However, the toes were too tight, and I don't really have fat toes. I have pretty natrow feet. The stiff material made the seams feel much more uncomfortable, and the heel felt like it was diggin into my skin (sizing up, may have helped that a bit, but the design is to provide a stiffer heel for protection). Even if the sizing was right, the stiff material was very coarse against my skin, so I'd definitely need to wear toe socks, which would be a problem with the tight toes. (The Spiridons are the black pair, V-Runs are pink in the photos.)The body of the V-run is a stretchy material, but the Spiridon is not stretchy at all. Also, walking across the linoleum in my kitchen, the V-Runs have complete traction, whereas the Spiridon (surprisingly) felt like I was walking on a greasy floor (it wasn't). Maybe that would get better once the soles got a bit scuffed outside, but it was also a harder rubber on the bottom. (To provide more protection against rocks, etc.)Anyhow, if I were to order again, I would need at least a 40 in the Spiridon, and a 39 (at most) in the V-Run. The soles on the V-Runs are thinner, but I've never been bothered by feeling rocks in them. I've run on well-traveled trails, gravel paths, the road, and a bike path that's partially paved and partially compacted dirt through the woods. I'm returning the Spiridons, and buying a smaller pair of V-Runs.

5 Fingers = 5 Stars
I'm an avid Fivefinger wearer. I have 4 pairs and 2 of those pairs are VRuns! They're my absolute favorite pair of Vibrams. They're light, airy, and ridiculously comfortable. These were the first pair I ever tried on and I fell in love instantly. VRuns are great for running on smooth surfaces such as compact dirt, pavement, cement, or grass. I also love them as casual wear and will wear them to work and out and about. However, wear with caution if it is your first pair, minimislt shoes take getting used to and retraining your muscles and kinetics to move different then regular footwear allow. Ease into them, and you'll never go back to tennis shoes.

Runs Long, Not Small
These are longer but thinner than my other Vibrams and so I can't get a good fit, especially with socks. Based on the reviews, and the advice of the Vibram website that these shoes run large, I ordered one size down from my usual Vibrams (for comparison, I am a size 8 womens and I have a size 39 in the KSO and trail shoes from last year. I ordered a size 38 in these). However, when I tried to pull them on barefoot, they were difficult as they are tight around the foot. The lacing digs into the arch a little, even though I have low arches, as the laces are too short to loosen enough. Once on, the length felt okay without socks but, once I put socks on as I prefer, they are so short that they are cutting into my heel. I thus assumed the sizing advice wasn't meant for those who want to wear socks and thus ordered one size up--my usual Vibram size. These pulled on much more easily, without having to spend a lot of time getting the laces as loose as possible first. However, the toes are so long that I feel like my toes are only half inside them. Even with socks, my little toe isn't even in the space for it and, if I curl my toes, my big toe pulls out of the space for it too. It feels sloppy, not "barefoot". With socks, the shoe still feels uncomfortably tight around the foot. So, it's not that these "run large"--they run long and so narrow that socks aren't comfortable.

So glad I bought them!!
I bought a pair of Vibrams 10 years ago in NYC when my feet were killing me. I ended up using them as workout shoes later on when they were the only shoes I could wear to workout, walk, run, etc that didn't give me shin splints or make my ankles hurt. I wore those shoes out until just recently when the sole finally came off.10 years isn't bad! I was nervous to get these without trying them on since the ones I had were adjustable across the top with a strap and my arches never hurt once I figured out the right fit I got these in and they are much cuter than my all black pair for sure. I still only wear them to workout in. I got the same size and they are a tad bigger but I like that. I didn't want them to be small. They aren't bigger side to side, just a bit longer in the toes. The top strings are just as adjustable and it did take me a day or so to get it right but now they are just like my other ones..Yay!!! I wore them around for a day or two before working out in them. Love the thicker sole. Will have to have a pair of theses forever it seems to workout in!

Love them!
I am a Vibram FiveFingers fan. I've got a number of pairs and currently wear them most days. The Bikila Evo style is very comfortable and I would say suitable for people with wide feet. Some other FiveFinger styles can be too tight it you have wide feet.I would say definitely go up a size. I have quite wide feet so although my feet measure a 6.5-7. In normal trainers I buy a 7.5-8 (41 EU), but in Fivefingers I need an 8-8.5(42 EU). If you have wide feet you I would definitely recommend going for this style of FiveFingers.

What's happening with the sizing?
The product looks and feels amazing. I can only imagine that the training shoe will give me the ultimate barefoot running experience that I was looking for. HOWEVER, who the hell did the sizing? I take a size 4 women in everything, DMs Reebok, Karimoor etc. I couldn't even the tip of my toes in the shoe. Luckily I can return them at my corner shop but have ordered a new pair through Prime. Please get your sizing correct as this is letting you down big time. I did some research as it appears that this is a common issue. The sizing listed on Amazon and the manufacturer's sizing are different. On the box, two of the sizes indicated the size was UK 2 ( 21 cm) EU 35 and the other size size indicated size UK 4 - USA 6

A little small but great omce you get the right size
I decided o get these trainers as I am starting jogging and these are the Vibrams that look more like a normal shoe from a distance where as the others look like you're running in socks. I'm a 5/5.5 UK and went for this size initially, the length was ok but it was a bit tight over the instep even with bare feet. Returned that pair (the return system was really quick and easy) and went for 5.5/6 which fits great. Really comfy both to break in around the house and running outside. They do take some getting used to though and if you have wide feet, want to wear toe socks with these or are a man you might want to go with a size large than normal straight off the bat so you're not having to try out multiple pairs.

The best and most original sport shoes
I really love them, they are extra light, soft, and you have the feeling to be running with shocks. It fits perfect. And there are lots of nice designs.I totally recommend it and the price is really good now, not like some time ago.Better price than the vibram web.

Five finger shoes
Found the toes a bit long on these compared to my last ones. Generally tho they are fine. Comfortable and breathable. I do CrossFit in them and have had no issues.
