I originally awarded this set 2 stars because, much to my surprise, there is no sourdough starter in the Sourdough Starter Kit. Very annoyed. However after using this set for 2 months, making about 8 loafs, I am glad I bought the Set. The tools are very useful and the recipe for sourdough is a great place to start. Everything is well made and all are utilitarian. The Dutch dough mixer helps enormously, the lame (for scoring the bread before baking) is easy to use and I like the extra razor blades. I use the Teflon transfer sling for moving the proofed dough to my Dutch oven and for baking the bread, preventing burning on the bottom and easy removal after baking. The Banneton keeps the proofing dough shaped and safe during the rest in the refrigerator overnight. Separately the items would add up to significantly more than the set. Get this if you want a head-start on you baking career. Half a Star off for no starter culture. I bought mine on Amazon. Baking sourdough is Zen and this set is worth every penny.

My bread-making set is fantastic. I love the bamboo material used for the basket; the protective liner is washable, and the overall look is natural and fresh. Everything is made from high-quality materials—from the bamboo basket and plastic scrapers to the stainless steel dough cutter, which even features measurement markings. They are easy to clean and don't take up much space in the kitchen. It’s an excellent kit for a beginner like me; after using it on several occasions, I can recommend it 100%.

This set is perfect if you're new to sourdough bread making like me. I love the set! Comes with so much for a great price.

Great item! It had everything I needed to start my sourdough journey.

The kit was just ok. The jar is thin glass and the black design on the outside comes off on your hands. Maybe it shouldn’t have gone in the dishwasher? Never seen that happen. It’s almost all faded at this point. The brown silicone stirrer is a little thin too. I also prefer a razor blade lame instead of the one that came in this kit. So it was a decent starter kit but I’ve already had to upgrade and replace a few of the larger items in it.

I was taken back by the sheer quality of the whole package. The small tool you use to stretch the bread is magic. I can now outperform the people on Youtube who teach how to make sour dough bread. The tool that can cut the dough is weighty and very easy to grip. The brush is more attractive and better than any similar brush I have bought. Excellent gift to anyone who bakes bread. I shall be buying them for friends. Even fitting everything back in the box is easy.

This set was just what I needed to kick off my home baking business. The banneton is made of premium rattan, smooth and splinter-free. The banneton liner is made of natural flax and fits the banneton perfectly. It has smooth seams and tight stitching. The Danish whisk works better than I thought it would, and the scoring lame works so much better than even the sharpest knife. The scrapers are useful for shaping your boule and dividing dough. The only thing missing from this basic set is a starter jar, but at the price, it is worth getting one separately. Just be aware that you will need to rub the wooden handles with some mineral oil or beeswax. They have no finish on them.

It even comes with a little guide to help you understand what each tool is for. A few things to note: Make sure to dust the liner well to prevent sticking the first few times. The dough scraper is flexible, which is good, but you might want a sturdier one later on as you get more serious. The cleaning brush is great but small – not a big deal, just something to be aware of. After using this kit, my sourdough game has gone from zero to “who wants fresh bread this weekend?” in just a few tries. If you’re on the fence, this kit makes it easy to get started. Highly recommended for anyone ready to level up their home baking.

Super Starter Set für Sauerteiganfänger! Sieht alles sehr hochwertig aus und es ist viel dabei, auch noch ein kleines Rezeptbuch und ein Zugang zu einer App. Die Haube riecht am Anfang ein bisschen komisch, aber diese kann man ja auch einfach waschen.
