Does this only measure 1 teaspoon?

It's much larger than a teaspoon. However, I wouldn't buy this. It's incredibly flimsy and was broken when I received it. The handle was barely attached to the scoop. The packaging was undamaged, the shipping box was undamaged, but when I pulled the scoop out of the box it was handle was barely attached, which means it broke when they put it in the packaging! Itf came apart in my hand so I doubt that it would hold out through repeated scooping.

what is the width of the handle? I want to make sure it can go through the holder on the jar. Thank you

The handle is one half inch wide, almost three sixteenth inches thick, and two and one eighth inches long

What kind of wood is used to make the scoop?

I am not absolutely sure, nothing in the description or packaging indicates the type of wood, but mine looks like walnut.
