A delightful book
Who does not like a good Mary story? This book was delightful with schemes gone right and wrong by the younger Hammond and his friend, including scheming to pair Mary and the elder Hammond! Five stars for this engaging, light hearted read.

Plot not clear and storyline ragged and over-extended but a pleasant read.

Mary's story
Mary finally gets a happy ending that is in keeping with her dignity, sincerity, and intelligence. There are new characters and some well meaning mischief that adds some fun. I'm always heartbroken when Mary's always so overlooked, underappreciated and unloved. This story has many people realizing Mary's worth, loving her and working on her behalf.
