Block Bait Rodent Killer - 20g x 15

Had problem with mice during the heat wave near the back door, which meant they were also getting into the kitchen, we had some old poison that didn’t seem to work. We got recommended blocks and when I searched through Amazon these were the best ones. We placed 2 blocks out first, in the usual places we had seen the mice. It took around 24 hours for the mice to first eat any of the block. Each lunch time we would see a mouse chewing on the block- this was the same for around a week. We did catch some mice in traps but there were at least 2/3 eating the blocks. After around 10 days the one block was gone and a third of the other one was left. I decided to put a fresh block out which wasn’t touched at all (apart from the snails- they will eat it all! ). Haven’t seen any sign of them since so very effective. Very good product and excellent value and easy to use.

This is hands down the best poison one can buy without being a professional or needing any licenses. I have been consistently using this around my property for years now in the big cheese boxes and it solves any pesky rats that come along within days. Living rurally I keep the boxes around my property fully baited year round, I don’t ever refresh the bait unless it’s gone. There may be periods of many months where the bait is sitting and it still gets taken eventually when something does come along. Great great product and much safer to use than the grain type poisons. You can pick the boxes up and shake them vigorously and nothing comes out, essential with nosey dogs and even peskier children at home! If you ever have an issue, save yourself a fortune on professional fees and simply buy this along with the matching bait boxes.

Great product, but poor seller - sent in a plastic bag, so the container was smashed on arrival! It's also older stock, as yet plastic pot was upgraded months ago! Fortunately, I kept the old empty pot, but will use a different seller in future.

I've been using this product for years now to keep mice and the occasional rats under control, indoors for the mice and outdoors for both, and it works very well. I use the red blocks in combination with the blue blocks as I find some rodents have a preference, but it always clears up any infestations. However, it does take time, in some cases it has been a few weeks so don't expect quick results. I'd also question the claim that one block kills a rat, more like one tub if going by my own experience, so I always buy in bulk and keep a supply at hand. I will definitely continue using the Big Cheese and would recommend it, with the caveat that results will come, but usually over multiple packets and weeks of continuous use.

Update oct 2026: Its rat season again for them coming to houses for winter. Only use in bait boxes!!! These red ones work much faster than blue ones. 3 blocks killed a loft rat that came up to loft.happens ever6 year I'm coastal. Another rat but sadly inside. My back door blew open during high winds at night a week ago I'm gutted thry destroyed a washing machine 5vyears ago by chewing through the wall and went into the machine chew8ng destroying wires. A rat got in my kitchen. Im desperate to kill this fast, its trying to chew into food cupboards. Traps it won't go near. I tried kill trap. I tried the cage with chocolate, cheese, peanut butter it won't go near cage or kill trap. So have had to use these faster kill poison red blocks. It's took now 3 red blocks to where it's hiding behind a machine or fridge. It's been about 5 days, 3rd block was just taken last night. Should be dead soon. Important ( I have no kids and no pets with kitchen access) I live on the coast in tiny village of a few houses.,Every sept when the farmers cut the last fields it displaces rats and mice from the fields they come running to our tiny village. These red blocks work faster kill. Sept 2026 a review I saw: Is putting these poison blocks loose outside. DO NOT PUT THESE OUTSIDE they kill everything not just rats. Saw a rev NEVER EVER PUT THESE OUT LOOSE, only IN bait boxes. Do NOT use this poison LOOSE outside with NO BAIT BOXES. Not just rats but you can kill dogs,cats, foxes, badgers, all wildlife. Even kids can pick up the blocks. Anything will eat itbhedgehogs, rabbits, owls, hawks, crows, other birds. Using outside rats will die and bigger birds, or animals will eat the poisoned rats. Use kill traps outside, in bait boxes instead. set with peanut butter works good. ..... Sept 2025 First time using these more faster kill red ones. Will update I'm using big cheese now 6 years big cheese. I've tried everything all the poisons and only big cheese works best. First used the blue big cheese blocks the big cheese blue ones take week or two to work. The reason the blue ones take 5ime to work. Rats are veryvsmart and they will watch and wait watching other rats eating it first. The blue ones are slower, so other rats will also eatvthe blue blocks before they see a rat die. Rats are rarely alone. They watch make sure the foods okay. They don't all eat it right away. So can take a couple weeks killing them. Rats will make sure it's safe to eat first by watching a rat who's ate it. If a rat isn't alone, and gets sick eating fast action red blocks and other rats are 5here and see the rat get sick, they wont eat the blocks. so blue blocks if have more than one rat. Red block faster kill if only one rat. These red blocks in the pot are meant to be faster stronger poison and faster. So may work fast but also other rats will see them die before eating it. so rats may not eat the blocks if they see one die. I use kill traps too and the cage trap. I like this red blocks tub with a way to seal the poison. I don't like the open bags with the blue blocks, its not easy to open with gloves on. Observation Rats will climb up sewage pipes to houses, I've seen videos of them climbing up outside walls into windows upstairs. Using blocks Inside: same only use bait boxes in places kids and pets have no access to you dont want kids or pets coming across a poison block. Rats love lofts and mosr rsts will be under floors, inside walls or in the loft. put them there. you can poison pets, kids so no access for pets to bait boxes. Always use GLOVES when touching bait and bait boxes its still poison. Wash your hands after taking gloves off. .

I have an intermittent issue with a visiting rat. I've put these in all the internal entry points and outside in a bait box. At first I was optimistic: the box was empty and there was no scratching under the floor for nearly a week. Then it started again, so I put some new blocks in, but when I checked the next day it was full of slugs munching on them. They're immune to the poison, so I've just been paying to feed them! As for the rat(s) it just ignores them.

This works. I don’t like killing them but I’d be over run
