Not a chance. I'm between 5'11 and 6 and the M is definitely an ankle pant. Check out the Men's jogger in tall! I have a review there with pics. Great for tall girls.

Absolutely not, they do not make that annoying synthetic material noise when walking at all.

I’m 5’3 and the Petite go more than “a bit” over my ankle and even more so when I sit down. I recommend the regular length. They sit comfortably on my ankle.
