Works perfectly with right USB Wall Charger
There are so many negative reviews, that I wanted to post to say that this cable works perfectly for my Echo Dot 4th Gen.The description for the cable says “the USB 2.0 plug need to connect with 5V 2A or 3A charger”, so I plugged this cable into my Dot and a multiple socket outlet extender which also has USB slots. Those USB slots are rated 5V/2.4A. And the Dot works perfectly. I had it up to volume 8 - the loudest I could tolerate - and it works just fine. Left it on for half an hour and no cutouts, no problems. None of the issues mentioned in the low starred reviews. So if you’ve having problems, check the volts/amps on your wall charger; it’s most likely under powered. When I looked at all my small, single slot, chargers they were only 5V/1A (it’s in the teeny tiny writing that’s usually near the prongs). If you need a short cable - this is only 3’ long - this is a great replacement for the original big power brick that came with the Dot 4th Gen.

Excellent cord
I needed a longer cord so I bought this one. It works great, fit is perfect, worth the money. Charging works well. Will buy again.

Doesn't work with Echo Dot
I tried using this with my 3rd and 4th gen echo dots but they didn't turn on. I'm not sure why this is advertised as working with them.FYI I used multiple power bricks. It doesn't work

The perfect length for my Alexa device.
I bought this cord to go with my Alexa which I have relocated in the primary bathroom. I didn't want the device to take up valuable space on the counter or cabinet so I asked my husband to install a small glass shelf near the outlet. I bought the cord so I wouldn't have too much cord hanging in the way. Such a good purchase.

Does not make solid connection to Echo Dot 5th Gen
Not sure about the other gen Dots, but the prong is too long for the 5th gen. You can get it to power on, but the connection is so poor that the slightest jarring of cable or Echo causes it to lose power.
