This Royal Red Dryden calligraphy medium nib Pen is beautiful to look at and write with. It has a little weight to it and writes smoothly. Didn't use for a couple of weeks but shook it down a few times and did some circles, and good to go again. I'm a beginner at writing with fountain pens, but this one is nice starter pen.

Got a journal for Christmas and have always wanted a fountain pen, the journal was a good reason to buy one. Writing with it is smooth and I like that it uses filled cartridges. I'm a happy camper.

Great value for your money, the ink flow is perfect, and it looks great. It is like any other quill pen and will leak through regular paper. So, I suggest you get high quality paper made for these type of pens. It performed exactly as it is supposed to.

This is a very nice pen. It is too thin for my hand so I use it to keep it flowing. It would make a nice gift.

Disappointed in filling the ink, but the pen has a good feel.

I have tried 2 ink cartridges & this pen will not write. If I dip the nib in water, the ink flows.

writes so nice and so smooth that i just ordered another one! it writes on regular paper really consistant with no skips. i now have 5 Dryden design pens along with a few others like Lamy, Wordsworth & Black, Beiluner. Dryden so far out purforms them all. You cannot beat the quality for the price of this brand of pen. I think you get more than you pay for, give them a try and I'm sure you will agree.
