I used this today for a Christmas crafting session that started at midday and finished after 6pm. I have 2ah batteries and used a full charge on one and partial on the other. I’m impressed at how long the batteries lasted, as it was switched on almost constantly. It is so easy to use, fast to heat up and so light to handle. The glue flows beautifully and although it does drip a little, (nowhere near as much as my other gun), the fact that it stands up, makes it easy to avoid any issues. I am very pleased with my purchase and my sisters were so impressed that they are both buying one too!

Best purchase I ever made, this uses my DeWalt batteries as power source so no more mains leads. The gun feels solid and good quality with good quality materials and stiffness. The trigger is nice and long so doesn’t need excess squeezing to get any glue out. The LED shows the switch is on and the unit heats up pretty quickly. This unit is fantastic and I have recommended it to many friends who have also commented on how good it is. I would definitely buy this unit again and recommend it. My only drawback is that if I use it with a smaller battery say 1.5 Ah then the battery usually goes flat almost before the gun has heated up if its anything other than full, this might be the battery itself but clearly the gun does use quite a bit of power. As such I use it with my bigger 5 Ah batteries and its fine.

This glue gun fits the DeWalt battery perfectly. The on/off switch is small but good. It heats up quickly, and produces a good quality spurt of hot glue, it's easy to direct and as with any glue gun you get the stringy bit after use, it works really well. You don't need a stand, as it sits on the battery base (as with a DeWalt Drill would). I don't write too many reviews, as most times they aren't necessary but on this occasion, it might help readers to decide. I would recommend this to any of my friends who already have a DeWalt kit.

Nice little, lightweight glue gun. I decided to go with this one because it is cordless and so easier to work with compared to wired ones, which are always a struggle to keep in place because the wire can drag the gun around due to light weight. This gun fits the DEWALT DCB182-XJ 18V battery is really good and feels quite nice with the 4Ah battery. The gun weights 378g with one glue stick inserted, whereas the dewalt 4Ah battery weights 616g. This means when using it, the battery is much heavier than the gun and no risk of it falling over, which is the last thing you want when the nozzle is hot. The gun heats up very quickly. There is also a nice and bright red light that turns on when you power on the gun, so very easy to tell if you've left it on or not. Also, when you press the trigger to dispence the glue, the dispencing stops immediately upon release of the trigger, which is nice because you dont have glue continuously ouzing out. Overall, very happy with the gun. Quick note, you can also get two years warranty by registering it with the manufacturer.

Used with dewalt XR 18V battery. Really hand mobile tool.

Great bit of kit. Compatible with my current (DeWalt) platform. 100W power, easily enough for most jobs, as this heats up the high heat sticks. Used a couple of times and has not jammed up. Quality seems good, so long as you don't throw it around. Looking forward to many years of trouble-free hot gluing. I use this with a building glue back up, the hot glue providing the high initial grab and the building glue providing the long term strength of bond. Great thing to have to hand, particularly when it's cordless.

Brilliant glue gun. Has been used regularly since purchase. Good quality and doesn't drain the battery quickly. Easy to use but nozzle retains its heat for a long while after being switched off. We turn it off just before we finish and continue to use as it cools to reduce battery consumption.

Works like a charm and easy to use. Good value.

Went to step up to a sturdier gun. Does a great job I love the fact that it has an on and on switch.

This is a very serious glue gun. Precision application and very very hot. Would not recommend for kids, but definitely a serious tool for serious crafters.

Finally I found a glue gun that does the job. It heats very fast; it is perfect when you need the job to be done fast.
