Outdoorer Helios beach shelter, UV 60, extremely light, small pack size

Bought for "round the world" sabbatical to protect my fiancee who suffers in the sun, limiting her beach time / happiness. I am a keen hiker who has gone through early 20s "festival tent / shelter" pain and now invests in good kit that isn't just disposable one use only - like most of the cheap shelters I looked at before finding this I think the company is Swiss from looking at the website - the comms and despatch were top-quality and no issues (even if there had been I got the impression they would be quickly sorted out), and the shelter purchased is excellent and cracking engineering for the price The stitching looks bomb-proof, plastic tabs resist strong tensile (pulling) forces, poles no issues. Excellent size - deployed it fits me (6'2") and my fiancee (5'7"). Packed size is tiny (cylindrical) and ultra-light weight is incredible - will easily go in my backpack and be used repeatedly on many many beaches in South East Asia and beyond. Pay the cash and get something worthwhile that can be used again and again (we've used this already in a London Park over summer for picknicking). Definately our new favourite purchase - thanks all at outdoorer!

Great little sun shade. Lightweight and packs down to a small size so doesn't significantly add to the piles of stuff you need when visiting the beach. The pegs supplied are not helpful for dry sand but are fine on grass. The weight of our bags and other beach stuff inside the tent weighted it down sufficiently that it didn't behave like a big kite and blow away, it wasn't very windy though. Am not too sure how much sun protection the tent offers as saw no upf rating. You could still feel the heat of the sun through the tent and you therefore did get hot sat inside it. In terms of size, it was fine for 2 small children and an adult to gain relief from the sun on an otherwise unsheltered beach. Will look onto whether the fabric can be treated to improve its protection from the sun as have read is possible with tents in general. The small size and simple assembly made this product a winner on our holiday and fitted easily onto our luggage.

Excellent service as the item arrived in four days despite being shipped from Austria. Instructions in both English and German. This item comes with its own compact carry bag with loop handles so easy to carry onto the beach. Reasonably light and as already has been pointed out, will fit into cabin baggage for loco airlines if you do not wish to check-in luggage. Pleased with the quality of this product and looking forward to many years use from it.

We bought this to provide shelter from the sun. Bear in mind that inside gets really hot and there are no air vents in this shelter. I would recommend this product as a wind protector but would not recommend for those that are going to hot places. Apart of this, the product is steady, easy to assemble and very compact when put back.

Arrived in good time and well packed. Extremely light and compact and very easy to put up. Bought it for a sun holiday for my three year old and my niece and nephew. They all fitted in with ease and loved being in it. What I didn't expect from it is that now back from holidays my son wants to put it up all the time to play in so not only did it do it's job perfectly it has also doubled as a play tent for my little one.

Fast Delivery well made product good price £22.95, light fairly easy to put up but the long pole is bit tricky needs a lot of bending was afraid I would rip something but was ok and my first time of putting the shelter up. Glad I didn't go for the cheaper ones on amazon this shelter should last a long time.

Spent ages choosing something for the kids on the beach - landed on this which is very compact and easy to stash on the pram - takes just a couple of minutes to construct/deconstruct and you end up with a big sized space which you can all sit in for lunch. Used it in the garden quite a bit too - happy with choice.

We use this all the time in the woods (packs up very small), at the beach or just in the garden. My husband, who is over six foot, does find the ceiling a bit low when he is sitting in but for me (5'6), it is fine. I only wish there was a small vent in it as it can get quite warm if in the sun.

Diese Strandmuschel ist wirklich toll! Wir sind von der Qualität und vor allem auch vom Service richtig begeistert. Erst zur Qualität: Die Strandmuschel ist sehr praktisch! Die ist sehr leicht und hat ein sehr kleines Packmaß, lässt sich in sekundenschnelle aufbauen und ist dann auch überraschend stabil, hat auch einen sehr hohen Lichtschutzfaktor. Also perfekt! Unsere kleine Tochter liebt diese Muschel und spielt am Strand sehr gerne darin. KLARE KAUFEMPFEHLUNG Zur Service: Wir haben diese Strandmuschel vor einem Jahr (in 2016) gekauft, blöderweise ist uns am Strand eine der Stangen kaputt gegangen. Letze Woche (also ein ganzes Jahr später!!) haben wir festgestellt dass wir das ganz vergessen haben und die Stange überhaupt nicht reklamiert haben. Vor ein paar Tagen haben wir einen e-mail geschrieben und nachgefragt ob der Hersteller eventuell auch die Ersatzteile zu verkaufen hat. Die Antwort kamm gleich am nächsten Tag, die wollten die Bilder von der kaputten Stange sehen. Nachdem wir die Bilder geschickt haben, kamm die Meldung dass die neuen Stangen, und zwar alle drei, bereits unterwegs sind. Und das Beste ist, WIR HABEN KEINEN CENT DAFÜR BEZAHLT!!! Heute kammen die Stangen bei uns an, alles super! In dem Karton war außerdem auch ein kleines Geschenk mit drin, ein aufblasbarer Wasserball. Die Service ist also absolut perfekt! Besser und unkomplizierter kann doch gar nicht laufen!

TL;DR;: Habe mir die Muschel extra für einen 15 Tage Urlaub an der Ostsee gekauft und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Aufbau problemlos, Abbau problemlos, klein und kompakt. Langversion: Ich kann von 12 Tagen berichten, die ich mit dem guten Stück verbracht hatte. Nach diesen 12 Tagen habe ich weder Verschleiß noch Defekte gehabt. Besser als die Eintagsfliegen-Strandmuschel aus dem Supermarkt vom letzten Urlaub... Aufbau ist ziemlich frustfrei. Das Gestänge zusammenstecken und zur Seite legen, die Muschel an sich ausbreiten, Stangen einschieben(schieben, nicht ziehen!), mit Heringen befestigen, fertig. Der Wind ist nicht hilfreich bei sowas, aber das ist er auch nicht bei Luftmatratzen oder dem Strandtuch. Ich habe meist den Stoff ausgebreitet und innen rein schonmal den Rucksack gelegt, dann konnte schon nichts mehr wegfliegen. Abbau ist auch kein Thema. Stangen-Enden aushängen aus den Laschen, dann die Stangen raus schieben. (Ja, Schieben, wie bei allen Gummizug-Zusammensteck-Zeltstangen!!) Wer zieht, verliert. In die Tasche passen die Stangen gut unten rein, die Plane muss man zusammenfalten und dann zu einer Wurst aufrollen. Passt dann gut in die Tasche. Ich habe dann die Anleitung zuoberst gelegt, dann kann sich schon kein Stoff im Reißverschluss verklemmen. Punkte zur Information: -Ja, man ist in der Muschel vor UV-Licht geschützt, viel vom restlichen Sonnenlicht schafft es trotzdem rein, es kann ohne Wind also schon mal warm werden. Trotzdem spendet die Muschel ausreichen Schatten an der Ostsee. Ob es für Süditalien auch reicht, weiß ich nicht. Eine leichte Brise gab es zum Glück immer, dann war es gut auszuhalten. -An der Ostsee am 55. Breitengrad hat der Schatten in und außerhalb der Muschel gerade so für meine 176cm gereicht. zweimal täglich musste man da dann aber mal die Richtung anpassen. Zu zweit könnte man da denke ich auch noch nebeneinander 2/3 des Körpers beschatten. Aber auch hier: in Süditalien steht die Sonne höher, die Schatten sind kürzer, dann reicht es halt nicht mehr für Korper-Vollbeschattung.

Comprata per essere caricata facilmente nel bauletto della moto per le vacanze estive. La qualità delle cuciture e della tela della tenda pare buona. Al primo montaggio vi risulterà un pò difficoltoso inserire i paletti negli appostiti ugelli (per via della tensione). Io ho lasciato la tenda montata qualche giorno così da rendere un pò più elastici i paletti per gli utilizzi seguenti.

Una tienda de campaña pequeña y fácil de montar, muy util para ir a la playa y evitar exponerse demasiado al sol.
