It actually was better than expected. It did have a metal eyelet lug to mount to the drum. That’s all it had in the way of mounting it to the drum. Great fit my winch is an older warn and it works fine . Has a red end of line safety marker. Seem compatible. Weight is negligible. It does seem to be durable. Looks good . Awesome hook

I use these somewhat destructively on a log-grapple winch. Despite all claims, they are not as strong as a steel cable of the same size, except perhaps under ideal conditions. That being said, this model is cheaper by far than any other I have bought; the splices were as strong, and the value was better than any other I have purchased. Day-in and day out, they are far easier to use than wire rope and don't coil up into knots when left loosely unspooled. Yeah, I've already destroyed two of these so far. They are tough, but not as tough as a wire rope. They melt easily, and will fuse together on your winch if shock-loaded. On the other hand, they are easy to handle, they will never puncture your hands with random loose wires, and they can easily be spliced back together if you break them. For folks who want a cool-looking winch on the front of their Jeep, they work great and will never rust. NEVER tie an amsteel rope with a knot! You won't be able to untie it, and it is so slick it will cut itself in half as it tightens. Instead, splice it to length, use the full length, put it on a winch, or use a friction device or pulley to shorten the span. With one knot, you will have ruined it.

Purchased this synthetic winch rope for our 2023 Can Am Defender Limited, with the HD 4500 winch to replace the wire cable. Looked at a lot of products and very few provided information stating it worked on our UTV. Purchased the Daydoor brand because of the heavier looking hook and free return. When I got the product it nice, but the instructions were a pretty vague. Before returning, I decided to try their customer support ([email protected]) to see if they stood behind the product. The response was overnight (I'm in the U.S., they are in China) and provided more detailed instructions. I went ahead and pulled the cable off the winch. Took me a little while to relieve the tension and figure out there is a set-screw (see pic) that holds the cable in the 2nd hole that the rope/wire goes through. This did not match the instructions daydoor provided. The product had an aluminum tab pressed on the end of the rope (drum side). There was no set-screw on the side of the drum as shown in the instructions that I could use to attach the rope. I didn't want to cut off the tab and was hoping there another option. I reached out to the support line showing them hoe the winch was designed. They again responded over night, confirming the only option was to cut off the tab, and providing links to a couple of YouTube videos that might be helpful. With renewed confidence (& maybe still returning the product) I dove in. Here is what I had to do for the winch that came with the Defender. 1. Cut off the tab. Razor knife worked but left a lot of frayed ends. Scissors worked better. 2. The core rope, with the red covering, was too thick to go through the holes in the drum. I cut back ~ 12 inches of the red covering and used electrical tape to taper the end of the core rope (gray in color). 3. I was able to weave the core through the hole near the center of the drum, go around once and weave it through the hole need the side wall, the one that has the set-screw. After tightening the set-screw I removed any slack. (In hindsight, I should have fed more rope through the drum and melted the end before tightening the set-screw) I used more electrical tape to re-attached the red covering where I exposed the core rope. 4. Using the winch, I wound the rope around the drum in a layered pattern. So far this is working fine. Shout-out to the daydoor support staff and their help changing out the cable.

Strong rope

I received the item before the delivery date, which was good. However, after opening the box, I noticed that there was no hook in it.... the missing hook did not bother me that much, but then, when I inspected the rope, I noticed two damaged parts nine meters from one end of the rope. This rope will be an extension rope for my winch, so that did not bother me as well. I will be using the nine meters that I will need to cut for some soft shackles. The buried end on one end was not tapered, which will make it the weakest link in the rope. The rope looks like good quality, but I will need to test it in the field... I will recommend this winch rope, but some modifications will need to be made. The seller contacted me and I was offered a full refund... but I asked for a replacement instead... will update soon and hopefully a 5-star review.:)

First one we lost in transit. Notification was prompt. Refund prompt and replacement prompt. Had to use some zip ties to initially attach to the 2500 lbs ATV winch on a Hisun tactic 550 2u with installed winch. once the rope is full extended easy to know as rope color change from black to red so unlikely to over extend. replaced my metal cable and the 50ft was just the correct length. Easy installation and solid hook. Looks great. Functions great. Downside of rope cable must be careful about fraying but safer than the metal cable. Everything you will need except for the small screw needed to attach to the winch barrel. Excellent product.

This rope seems good. Just installed it today. I wish the rubber stopper clamped down hard on the rope to keep the black sleeve in place. My winch tries to not swallow or release the black sleeve and I was hoping the stopper would hold it in place, but nope. I also wish the whole stopper and hook came assembled. No reason not to. My installation onto a Can Am HD 3500 winch on a Outlander 650 XT took about three hours. I was worried the rope wouldn't fit through the hole in the winch spool but it did. Whew! I just had to cut off the tab that's designed for screwing it into the side of the spool. Then use electrical tape to whip the rope. 50 feet fit ok on my winch but I've heard others had to cut it to 40. No word yet on the durability of this rope.

Had to replace the cheap Polaris rope. Stronger for alot less. Easy to install.

Worked as required

The AYDOOR synthetic winch rope has been a great upgrade for my ATV. Installation was quick and straightforward, and the rope spooled evenly with no memory from the packaging, which made setup a breeze. Around the property, it’s proven to be sturdy and rugged. I’ve used it repeatedly with my plow, and it’s handled the strain without any signs of wear. The bright green color makes it easy to spot, and the forged hook and rubber stopper are solid additions. I especially appreciate the protective sheath on the front section — it does a great job shielding the rope from abrasion during frequent pulls on the plow.
