This is the BEST kitchen torch for the price that I have EVER bought! It's really easy to use and works extremely well. The sugar on my Creme Brulee was perfectly done with ease the very first time using my new Jo Chef Torch. The flame control is such a great feature and easy to manage. I highly recommend this!

Works very well

This is an awesome tool for the kitchen. When I have certain types of food, I want it crisp or broiled to crunchiness, such as hot dogs, bratwurst, or Italian sausage, etc. This torch does the trick for finishing those types of foods. It is a required tool for dishes such as crème brulee. I love that I have this capability in my kitchen now. I'm a foodie, in case you hadn't guessed. The torch is easy to use, has a large flame capability. The design is safety conscious as it has a trigger lockout. I really like this product for the value and straight up grab and go functionality. A most useful kitchen tool.

Conveniently small but powerful, we love torching a lot of our food now especially sushi and this torch really helps. It is easy to use, great customer service when needed, makes it easy to depth to lots of food.

this is a good torch. substantial feel to it and a larger base to support it. the lock is a great feature, love that I can lock it & unlock it while holding it without fumbling. the knob on the back turns easily to adjust the flame. two small issues I've found but can work with them. 1. the flame adjustment knob is also how you turn off the torch. 2. when filling it with the butane it allows butane to leak out around the fill tip. followed directions to the letter to fill it & no matter what I did it would leak during filling. otherwise it's a good torch with a steady base. UPDATE: after trying to fill the torch again, the leak of butane was worse than the first time & when I gave up I could hear a hiss coming from the fill stem. I reached out to the company by email they responded in less than 24 hours. sent me a you tube link to view and see if I was possibly doing something wrong & stated they will take care of the issue confirming that customer service is a top priority. I was also told that if there was still a problem they would happily send me a new torch. my husband & I went to try again while following the video (which I had been doing it correctly all along) we even filled a lighter to insure the butane cans were not faulty. they were not. Bottom line let customer service know nothing worked, so they sent out a new torch right away. it arrived overnight! haven't tried the new torch yet will do that tomorrow. Another great thing I communicated with the same person from start to finish. Unlike so many companies that you reach out to & you end up with communication from sometimes multiple different people. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TORCH WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IS THE TORCH FOR YOU!

If I could leave zero stars I would. The plastic lining MELTS. This means the plastic ends up on your food and you wouldn't even realize it until you taste it. Ask me how I know. I've posted photos of the melted plastic liner inside the metal barrel because I wouldn't have believed someone would sell a product supposedly safe for food that sprayed carcinogenic plastic over that food. This product is flat out dangerous and Amazon should remove it from the site.

This torch is impressively powerful — the flame stays steady, focused, and easy to control. The build quality feels solid, and the included stand is a great touch. My only wish is that the unit were a bit smaller and lighter for easier handling.

Item is of decent quality, but needs an easier method or system for gas injection.

Quality of the item is better than I expected, does not feel cheep at all. Packaging is also very nice. Instructions are clear, product is nicely designed. Will update review once I get to use it a few times.

So this torch used to be much cheaper -_-, but i think so far, its worth the money I paid for it. I find the window to see how fuelled the torch is to be confusing. I see almost nothing in there all the time, and it barely has any liquid in it yet it can work for awhile... so thats weird. I do find its high heat, the flame length as mentioned was great. Its fire, idk, its good.

Easy to use. I made crème brûlée and the sugar topping turned out as I hoped. It’s quite strong too. I think that’ll be handy depending on what I’m preparing. I can’t wait to experiment!
