Q: I dropped a wrench into my porcelain sink, which left a metallic abrasion. Can this product remove the metal residue w/o harming the sink?

This is just a mild abrasive it may scratch. And it will come apart when you use it. It’s not like a dish pad. I will say use a sponge and toothpaste to remove the problem to start. Toothpaste works very well to remove a lot of problems. Ink and pencil mask on a wall, toothpaste will just take them off without leaving a mark. This item you are asking about will be like a 00 Brillo pad but designed to clean the sharpener rods I have. I think there is also a liquid product at your local home store that will remove this. I think its WDR. (Dirty Word Remover) or try “Bartenders Friend”. Comes in a powder sold like Comet in the round paper shaker containers. Hope this gives you some ideas.
