Easy of setup and starting
I purchased this tri‑fuel generator because I wanted the flexibility to run on gasoline, propane, or natural gas depending on what’s available. That versatility alone makes it a great value, and the setup process was surprisingly simple. Assembly took only a few minutes: two stabilizer legs secured with two bolts each, and two oversized rear wheels attached with pins, washers, and clevis pins. Although the necessary wrenches were included, I preferred using my own socket and combination wrenches. Adding oil was straightforward—just be sure to pour slowly and keep shop towels handy for any drips and overflow. My first startup attempt using the push‑button didn’t go as expected. The unit wouldn’t turn over after several tries, even after letting it sit. I double‑checked the choke and fuel switch, then switched to the pull start. It fired up on the second pull and ran smoothly for 20 minutes. I also confirmed it was producing power using a simple nightlight. After shutting it down (push button off, battery off, fuel off), I let the generator sit for a week. The next startup—this time with the push button—worked perfectly. I added a small load with a couple of fans and a TV, and everything ran flawlessly. I’m confident the initial issue was due to the battery not being fully charged out of the box; after running, it held a charge with no problem. What impressed me most was the cold‑weather performance. The second startup took place after the generator had been sitting in 20‑degree weather for a week, and it still started immediately. My plan is to continue breaking in the unit with gradually increasing loads and perform the first oil change at around five hours of runtime. Fortunately, I didn’t lose power after receiving the generator, so I’ve been able to break it in properly. Overall, this generator has exceeded my expectations so far. Easy setup, reliable performance, and the peace of mind that comes with tri‑fuel capability make it a strong choice for anyone preparing for outages or emergencies.

Does everything it says it can in the brochure and operating instructions. Highly reliable.
This generator is amazing. Very capable of running the whole house and that's exactly what we bought it for as we were doing a large addition onto our home. Now it is in reserve for emergencies and with the tri-fuel option, we plumbed it for natural gas, as well as reserve for propane and gasoline. No more city power outages to worry about. Love the ease of the electric start option, the fuel selector, and several connection options for power usage. Well thought out and engineered. I used to work for Westinghouse, so I was glad to see they still believe in strong quality.

Westinghouse 11500/14500 Tri-Fuel Generator
I ordered this generator to run my home during a power outage. We live in Texas and have had many outages for a week or more at a time. I received the generator in about a week and it came undamaged. We assembled the wheels right away so we could move it. It is quite heavy but has a nice heavy duty handle to move it around. It is a Tri-Fuel generator and we plan to use it with gasoline and Propane. I believe it will perform and take care of our needs. I have not started it up yet as I'm waiting for my electrician to wire the breaker box, add a soft start on my A/C Unit and add a power surger to my A/C unit. The parts should be here in about a week. I will return to give a full review on the Generator and how it performs as soon as we get everything hooked up. I'm returning to continue my review. My electrician came and it took a bit longer than expected. My home needed to have an upgraded breaker box which the electrician did complete. Our home is about 25 years old and the breaker box is smaller than new homes built today. We had 12 breakers and with the new box now have 20 breakers. The surger and soft start were install to my A/C unit as planned. We added the included oil to the generator, and started it up on gasoline. It started right up. We tested the unit with the power off and it ran our 4 ton A/C unit with no issues. Adding the soft start to the A/C unit is key to bring down the initial starting/cranking watts. We were also able to turn on other breakers in the home for lights, freezer, fridge fans, etc. the generator unit was flawless. We feel very confident we will be comfortable during power outages. We priced Generac generators, Anker home generators and Bronco Power Boost (Battery backup system) they were all very expensive compared to the portable generator set up with Westinghouse. It cost us a bit more than we planned due to having the new breaker box installed but still no where near the expense of the Generac, Anker or Bronco. So far we love the Westinghouse and would recommend it to anyone looking for a more economical solution. A note to women, I'm a small women and in my 60's, it is a bit heavy to move around but the wheels and handle help out a lot.

Best Generator Ever!
I purchased this generator to provide my household backup power during numerous power outages in my neighborhood. It has performed very good each and every-time. With one other person helping me, it was extremely straightforward to assemble with the instructions clear and organized. The generator runs very very smoothly and provides enough power for my appliances, including the refrigerator, lights, and a few electronics if really needed. My favorite part is the remote start key which makes things much so easier 😊

Versatile and Easy
The tri-fuel feature makes this generator versatile in prolonged outages. The set-up is relatively easy. It's not difficult to set up a system for connecting the natural gas. It fired right up on the natural gas. I was disappointed that the wheels were just plastic instead of the hard rubber. Some reviews I read thought this generator was quieter, but it didn't seem any quieter than my last one. It has a battery charging feature and comes with a battery tender which makes it easier to keep the battery in good shape when not in use. We have medical equipment so the low harmonic displacement makes me more comfortable using generator power. All in all I don't have any problem recommending this generator.

Seems well made
I just received the WGen11500TFc earlier today. The unit was well packed. After initial assembly, I can say this feels like a well-built machine. That said, I have not yet started the unit as I am waiting on additional parts to arrive before testing. I will update this review after I’ve been able to start and test. Edit to add: 3 hours after arrival, we lost power from a derecho that blew through. I was able to power one refrigerator and a couple of lights, along with my networking equipment easily, once I purchased some more extension cords. I ran like this for a little over 48 hours. I did have some issues with my garage fridge and a portable air conditioner tripping the circuit breakers, but we were able to deal with it. After the derecho incident, I installed a 50 amp lockout kit and inlet directly to my main circuit board. I also had a plumber install a quick disconnect to my natural gas line after the meter. I didn’t have to wait long to use this, unfortunately. Hurricane Beryl came barreling through, knocking out power to my area for 11 days. During this time, I was able to run almost everything in my house, including my 4 ton AC (after installing a MicroAir soft start kit). I was even able to run my microwave and my pool pump with relative ease. This generator got the job done with nothing more than regular oil changes and filter cleanings for well over 240 hours of nearly 100% up time. So far, I have 285 hours of total run time. It is important to follow the break in procedure and the recommended maintenance schedule to ensure trouble-free operation. I would also recommend that you familiarize yourself with how to use the generator during non-emergency situations to ensure a comparatively stress-free time when you actually need it. That said, there are a coupe of drawbacks to this unit. It is LOUD. The documentation says a minimum of 75 db. I measured using my phone, and close to the unit was a lot closer to 90 db. It attenuated to 65 db inside with my old single pane windows, but after 11 days I was really tired of hearing this thing run. During my first spark arrestor cleaning, the screw slots stripped on one of the screws, even after waiting 15 minutes for everything to cool. I then used a socket to finish the job, but the screw actually snapped. No big deal I thought, there’s still 1 screw in there, I can fix this later. The next morning I went out to check on the generator, and the exhaust pressure blew off the spark arrestor, screen, gasket, and the remaining screw (which was definitely all the way in) over night. I thought the generator was loud before this, but it was even louder without the spark arrestor/screen. I now need to use a screw extractor to remove the sheared screw and find 2 matching screws. Kind of disappointing and a bit annoying, but it’s something I can deal with. Overall, this generator does the job. Tri fuel is the way to go, and setting up a natural gas connection meant I didn’t need to try to find gas every day during a major outage. I was able to run everything in a 2400 sq ft home except for a 40 amp oven, my washer, and my dryer. Minor annoyances aside, I would recommend this unit as an alternative to a whole-house standby generator. Also, I’m still waiting on the free storage cover from Westinghouse.

easy start, east maneuverability.
Happy with it. Can power my appliances and all the electronics of the house, heater, and garage door (not the 4 ton A/C, still working on this). With Natural gas, it is a bit quieter. Not loud enough to drive my neighbors mad in an outage. I like that you can start it with a button instead of pulling. It's pretty big, but I was able to assemble it on my own, and its not that hard to pull it through the grass. I tried propane and natural gas, however, people tell me not to use gasoline unless you intend to use it all up in one session. I hear gasoline does not store well for long periods of time and can affect performance. This is with all gasoline engines. I have been testing it once a month since I've purchased it.

Lot of research - landed on this one!
What a Monster!! I bought this to replace a 9000w Firman Tri-fuel that I realized wouldnt run all the critical systems on my house in an emergency - Old AC unit - and when its 100 degrees all summer I didnt want to settle with not having that. This will be able to connect to my 100a main breaker and run my entire house with a transfer switch. Short of trying to run the AC at startup, the Range, and Dryer all at the same time like an idiot, this will work. But staging those, I could run 2 when I get the soft start unit installed on the AC. I wanted the option of NG since I also have a port with valve on the rear of the house. Its also quieter than my Firman was. Maybe I just think that? I didnt run them side by side since it got sold first, but I was surprised by the sound level. Ill probably build a sound cabinet for this either way, with large fans movong air through, and an exhaust extension out of the cabinet into a muffler chamber. Don't want to become a neighborhood target in a SHTF situation. Though I'd hopefully be in the trailer and heading out of town in that situation. Great buy, and excellent power for the price. Also, the remote works perfectly.
