I give it a five star rating despite the picture being perhaps being slightly misleading as others have already written about. For me, the extra space is a feature. I've placed some left-over foam inside of the case. I cut this piece of foam to size. The result is some nice extra padding for the camera, which keeps it even more protected. The extra space is also sufficient for the camara plus the charger and the charging cable that came with it. That's what the picture actually indicates, which means that it is not really misleading. Build quality and value for money are also quite good. It's a hardcase which makes it suitable for using the camera as an everyday camera where you carry it around in "unstructured" environments like your backpack or some duffel bag. Pouches are not as good as they get squeezed to much.

As others have stated it is bulkier than the pictures show. However, my extra batteries and charging cable fit without issue. The inside has a strap to secure the camera so it will not be floating around. It is a hardshell and seems sturdy and well made. If you want a slim fit and probably room for just the camera and nothing else don't get this, if you don't mind a bit of bulk and need room for an extra battery then you'd probably be happy with this product.

Just perfect great price

Don’t buy. It’s way too big and does not fit the camera so it will just bounce around. I had to go out of town and missed the return window and am so upset because this is a useless piece of junk. If you are going to advertise it will fit a certain camera… make sure that camera actually fits securely not with over an inch on each side… waste of time, money, and plastic since it will now just need to be thrown out.

I purchased this item, because the pouch of my RX100 was dirty and falling apart after many years. Also, the Velcro flap didn’t stick anymore. And not much fit inside. I don’t have any of those issues anymore now! I am very happy with this hard case, as it is much more robust and protective for my camera. It won’t fall open and it won’t deteriorate. I actually like the extra space inside, as I prefer to carry some extra accessories with me while I travel, like an extra battery for the camera, the charging cable, the filter, and a cleaning cloth. Everything fits nicely inside this case and I don’t have to worry about losing anything or having anything break.

Sturdy product but very large of the small camera

This case provides great protection for my RX100 VII. The hard side protects my camera much better than the soft side case I replaced. I like that the case holds a spare battery and has room for a cable and some memory cards. The camera rattles around more than I would like, especially if you don't put a spare battery at the end of the case as shown in the listing photo. But I added a small piece of foam and the movement of the camera was much better.

Reasons To Buy + You're looking for a case for your compact-ish camera with a flat/pancake lens + You don't have to put an H35 Ektar in it. Other cameras will fit. I will likely use it with my Lumix LX3 or GF2 with a pancake lens. + There's an elastic strap to help keep your camera in place when it's open. + Clamshell design provides some pretty good protection + Has a zipper pocket for cables, memory cards, etc. + Has a wrist strap you can attach to the zipper + Nicely made, decent quality for the price Reasons Not To Buy - The form factor is much less convenient than most other camera bags, slings, sleeves, etc. in that you don't have fast access to your camera. - While helpful, the elastic doesn't provide that much protection from your camera falling out. Good Value? It's not an expensive bag, but it's nicely made, and because it's a semi rigid case, it provides good protection to your camera or other device that might fit within it. I think it's a good value.

This is a nice little tech case. You can use it for anything, doesn't have to be a camera. The zippered pocket will be useful for accessories like cables.
