Perfect for Grinding Coffee Beans
I use this for grinding beans for my Moka Pot. Adjusting for your bean type, this grinder is very easy to adjust the size of the grind for a perfect espresso. I have mine set at #13 clicks. I ordered the "Max Capacity 30g" so it will grind, in one shot, enough beans for either my 6cup or 3cup Moka Pot. Build quality is excellent. It feels solid and perfectly machined. Nice looking too! Highly recommend this Timemore grinder.

Amazing manual grinder at a good price
I purchased this back in February after a bit of deliberation, lots of reading up on grinders, and going through reviews. I've been thoroughly happy with it and love that I can take it anywhere. It's metal construction gives it heft and feels secure in my hand, though it is a bit heavy (not an issue for me, but for those that might have weak grip strength, something to consider.) Removing the bottom where the ground coffee is collected, you can see the underside of the grinder and make your adjustments here. Super easy to do and I appreciate hearing the clicks as you turn it - allows you to count and know that sweet spot for whatever grind you want to switch to. Grinding is so easy and smooth. Depending on what beans I'm using (different beans, different weight, same volume), I can grind about 20g at a time which takes maybe 30 seconds. For my French press in the morning, I do two rounds of grinds. Grinds are pretty even and perfectly coarse. I've just purchased a Gaggia, so once it's delivered, I'll try to remember to come back and update on how the Chestnut C3S Max does on an espresso setting. Cleaning is easy - it comes with a brush that you can sweep the fine dust etc off the grinder machanism. The collection chamber can easily be rinsed and dried if needed. I've found that I've only had to sweep the grinder once or twice since I've had it and I've never had to clean the chamber. The grinds come out with little to no fuss. Overall, if you're looking for a good manual grinder that won't break the bank AND grind well, this is the one to get. I've had a cheapie plastic $30 manual grinder purchased here in the past that left a LOT to be desired. Pay the extra money and you'll be glad you did.

Loving it.
Let me preface this by saying I'm not some coffee expert. I like good coffee. Most of the time I just use my ninja drip. But I needed a quieter alternative for work, and one for camping. I experimented this week with it and I love it. I already bought a second one for at home/camping. As some reviewers have said about these hand grinders, you get much better quality for your money if you just put in a little manual effort. If you hate doing work, don't get a manual grinder, simple as that. It takes just over a minute to grind a full load at the relatively fine setting. I was recommended 1zspresso by a friend. But since I generally like to brew myself a full thermos worth either with drip, pour over, or French press, I wanted a larger capacity. I will typically do 28 g for a 17 oz thermos. This holds up to 30 g or so. And if I don't feel like weighing it, I can just fill the top with beans and it'll be slightly stronger. Like I said, I'm not too bothered by details. The uniformity of the grind seems pretty good to me. I attached pictures, so maybe someone with a better eye than me can say if it looks good or not. Either way, the coffee tastes pretty good. The build quality is just phenomenal. The knurled body feels great and provides the right amount of grip. The base is rubberized so it won't slide around on a table. That said, I usually hold it in one hand and turn with the other. The threading of the ground catch feels so good. It's extremely smooth and it just glides on and stays there. The bearings of the actual grinder feel precise and of great quality. There is zero play anywhere in this thing. It's amazing how much better quality this thing is for $100 than the Cuisinart we had for $75. Better coffee with the added benefit of not waking up your entire block. Is it better than 1zspresso? I don't know. But if you want the larger 30 g capacity, this thing is a no-brainer to me.

Just get it. Its exceptional.
The build quality and the experience of using this grinder is incredible. I have been able to reliably create better pour overs across light, medium, and dark roast coffees at home than I have ever been able to order from cafes. The recommended grind settings are a little too fine for me, but 17-20 clicks from closed is perfect for V60 filters (for me). Easy to grip, easy to adjust, easy to grind, looks great. The grinder is full of subtle design choices that speak to a care and craftsmanship I dont encounter often. The inner surfaces of the receptacle cup are chamfered to ease pouring. The threaded section is triple threaded so you dont have to turn it a bunch of times to release it. You can easily measure out beans into the cup and then invert the main grinder onto the threaded section to transfer beans without spilling. The burr adjustment mechanism is recessed so you can stand the upper section of the grinder up without it tipping over. And on and on. It is excellent. I bet there are better grinders out there but I dont really care. Timemore has won me over.

Lives up to the hype
Works great. Bought this model after a long search for a hugh quality burr grinder. Settings are easy to change. Grounds look great. 10/10

I use it every day
This wasn’t cheap but it was cheaper than any other quality option. High quality, no plastic anywhere, easy to adjust grind and clean. Sturdy build and the right size. Takes about 3 minutes to grind 2 rounds of beans, 110 revolutions per round, for a full pot. I enjoy it - a nice upgrade from my $30 electric grinder that sounded like a blender.

Great little grinder
I am a Chemex pour over coffee geek. I have a Eureka 1920 Mignon Silencio grinder, Italian made. It too is great. However I compared three different coffees, two light roasts and one medium. Coffee from the Timemore C3S beat them all; livelier overall flavor, more distinct flavors, and less bitter. I figure that by hand cranking, the beans are grinding slower so not being pulled into the burr grinder as quickly. This would likely give a more even grind texture, confirmed by visual inspection. So, with less finings, this makes sense. It does take longer to grind, maybe a 20% increase. No big deal. This grinder is destined for a shared vacation home where space is limited, another plus. All this at less than half the price.

Flawed handle mechanism
1 year review: Grinder is great, worked well for me for just around a year. As of about a month ago the mechanism you pull on to fold the handle started getting stuck but would eventually fold. As of today it is completely stuck in the open position, I can no longer pull it to fold the handle. It is super unstable with the top on just sitting on the counter, so need to store with the cap off, impossible to travel with it now. Need a better solution for folding handle, has basically made grinder useless.

Works great, just what I wanted
I had an old blade grinder that stopped working and I wanted to replace it with a better quality grinder. This one is great. It’s really well machined. It turns so easy and grinds well. I love that they have the little bag and that the handle folds for travel (there’s a little rubber bit on the underside of the handle so it doesn’t bump and damage the shaft of the grinder when folded). We won’t take it backpacking cause it’s a bit heavy but we’ll bring it in our trailer for boondocking trips. It has a nice range of settings, it’s satisfying to use and I’m happy that we have it. If it went missing I’d buy it again.

Arrived with seized burrs
Just bought. Cannot use as burrs seized inside. I would have gone for an exchange but looks like can only return as was on offer.

Expensive BUT.....,
Expensive BUT what an excellent cup of coffee. Great build - NO PLASTIC to break on this one. I only use Keurig re-usable pods, and this makes a very nice single serving cup of coffee for me. No waste of any kind. Only grind what you need for the moment. Grinds are recycleable. Pods are washable. No unconsumed coffee wasted down the drain.
