How to Work Without Losing Your Mind : Sevilla, Cate: desertcart.ae: Books Review: This book is amazing. Thank you Thank you... It was the right therapy I needed (I did therapy, but there was a missing thing, and this was it!) and now I feel ready to go back to work. It really did the job! Things you should know: different chapters for different areas: bad managers, how to manage (your time, your boundaries, your priorities), how to recover from losing your job... Maybe you won't feel that all chapters are important to you (now!) but most of them will be important and will feel like a good hug that you didn't have yet... Unfortunately, if you have your own business, this won't be so relatable to you. Review: As soon as I started the book I knew it was going to be a good read (I didn't know I needed to read the word 'sphincter' in a book about careers until now). It's really relatable (and hilarious), with genuinely useful, insightful and practical advice. You definitely feel seen when you read it and I've already recommended it to all my friends!

This book would have been much better if this person didn't push her liberal politics. There were a couple of good advices but there was a political undertone of gender is a spectrum, trump bashing etc that was hard for me to look past. That was a let down. I wanted to throw the book away at that point but had spent too much money on it

Just finished this book and I really liked it. It’s written in a very relatable way but also has some witty moments thrown in for good measure. The author gives some good advice on a number of topics which I’ll take on board for sure.

Cate has written such a beautiful book, like getting a lovely hug from a friend but also learning so much about the modern working world from someone who has first hand experience of how tough things are. I found myself laughing with Cate through descriptions of terrible managers and crying when she gives advice around bereavement at work. It really is a book that encapsulated everything and was so easy to read. I bought this book to help me through a tough job transition, and to know there are other women who are just as anxious and scared as I am about interviews and work, made me feel so much better. PLEASE WRITE MORE BOOKS!!
