Of the Himalayan Pink salts that I've purchased, this is the nicest. It's not so hard that it feels as if it's made of rock, which is common with a lot of rock salt. In your salt grinder, it will flake off beautifully into a nice even flat flakes that season your food evenly and quickly. To me, Himalayan salt has a very very slightly sweet taste at the very tip of the tongue.This salt flakes much more easily than normal rock salt and yet it doesn't crush down. The rocks stay intact and dont crumble. There's very little dust in amongst the rocks. The salt looks uniformly clean and very pink. It's easy to grind and it doesn't feel like it's clogging up my grinders wheels every time I try to grind up a large batch of salt. I often like to grind up enough salt at one time to fill a couple of large tabletop salt shakers. Sometimes people don't want to have to mess with a grinder when they just want to shake a little salt onto their hamburger or fries but they do want a premium salt.In a nutshell, this is terrific salt that has excellent flavor and is easy to grind; besides it is an amazing value. This is rough coarse salt like sidewalk or water softener salt. Grinds well and tastes okay. You get a lot of salt for your money.
