Excellent if you take the time to learn how to use them
These are excellent pens for fine detail work, but they do require some training in their use. Some of the other reviewers claim that the pens dry up rapidly or are only half-filled with ink. I'm sure that it appears that way, and I thought the same way, but now that I've had more time to play with these, I realize the error was my own. These pens have very fine nibs. if you look at the tip, you can see the tiny nib protruding. It's extremely easy to damage this part if you're heavy-handed or use paper with a vellum finish (or rougher). Once damaged, the ink flow will be reduced until almost none comes out at all. It appears that the ink has run dry when in fact it simply can't get out of the pen. The smaller the nib, the more often this happens, hence the negative reviews for this, the smallest size.If you use a light touch and smooth (plate) finish paper, these pens will last a long time. They're a real bargain.

Only got ONE
I ONLY RECEIVED ONE.Prior to buying I read the description carefully and saw the photo (which clearly shows a pack of 10).Description clearly says "PACK OF TEN"Lo and behold, after it was delivered and I saw only ONE, and I went back to the product's details, it was only in the feature/details, conveniently tucked away, that it says "only one."False advertisement. Very unhappy customer here.

One Single Black Pen
This is an excellent pen, but it's only "One Single Black Pen," not the ten pens pictured or the "10 PACK" in the Product Description. I found the Subscribe & Save Sakura 50034 6-Piece Pigma Micron-005 Ink Pen Set, 0.20mm, Black to be a better value.

You're not getting ten...
This is a great pen. However, the seller states in the description that ten will be sent, then you only receive one. Disappointing, not paying over five bucks for one disposable pen (no matter how thin it writes), sent back.

or a general fine artist. They flow smoothly and lay out bold ...
These pens are a godsend if you are an illustrator, or a general fine artist. They flow smoothly and lay out bold dark lines. Well worth the money! Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews on these pens. I have used hundreds of these without any problems. Reviewers who are complaining that these don't hold up, or are too small, obviously do not know how to use these pens. They are to be used delicately and gently, because the tip is very very small. This is size 005, and its about as small as they come. The only size smaller that I have ever found was a 003. These are for more advance artists, and not necessarily for novices.

The ad is misleading; don't get ripped off.
I love these pens, but this ad is misleading. What seemed like a good deal, as advertised, is a ripoff because they only sent one pen.

Great deal and
Great deal and, like every micron pen .005 pen it's sensitive. You can't drag it across a heavily textured paper an not expect it to die a little each time. It's perfect for stippling and maintains itself if you use it gently. Some people treat every pen like a Bic (am I showing my age?). They are not. They are delicate tools. Use them wisely.
