Good product.

Delivery and service excellent as always, quality product from terrifically customer-oriented company. Heiltropfen are my go-to company for my Lugol's, when I haven't had time to make my own 15% strength. Don't be fooled by other unscrupulous companies on here and other online buying platforms who claim that their products are 15% or whatever- if you check, all they've done is add the PERCENTAGES of iodine content to the PERCENTAGE of the potassium iodide, and that is NOT correct. If you have a solution that is 5% iodine and 10% potassium iodide, that doesn't make it a 15% Lugol's solution. That makes a solution of which 10% is potassium iodide and 5% is iodine. You need to know how many milligrammes of each substance are in a single standard vertical drop to be sure about what you're spending your money on. Each vertical drop of this Heiltropfen 7% Lugol's is about 3.5mg iodine & 5.25mg potassium iodide, total 8.75mg in each drop. Always check with the seller if it's not crystal clear in the description. For reference, the following figures are correct - 2% Lugol's is 2.5mg combined iodine and KI per drop 7% Lugol's is 8.75mg combined iodine and KI per drop 15% Lugol's is 18.75mg combined iodine and KI per drop I've seen some on here claiming their Lugol's is 15%, but when you check the iodine and pot iodide figures, each drop is only 2.5mg, and NOT the 18.75mg that it should be. (One standard vertical drop is deemed to be a 20th of a ml [or 200 drops per 10ml, which is a standard aromatherapy measurement] and for serious accuracy, you need to measure how many drops it takes your particular dropper to fill a one ml container. So, in the 7% solution here, one ml holds 8.75mg times 20, because their droppers do take 20 drops to fill one ml,) My homemade 15% one was fine, but my dropper was much smaller and it took more like 25-30 drops to fill one ml, so I had to re-calculate my carefully drawn up chart of how many drops I needed to reach whatever dose I was aiming for that day (I started on less than a mg, and 15 months later, I take just over 100mg a day, to good effect). So check that the brand you're about to buy is being advertised correctly, or buy from this company, who have impressed me with their helpfulness and transparency since the first time I contacted them about the precise amounts of both iodine and potassium iodide in their product. They know their stuff, which is more than the majority of Lugol's sellers on here seem to!
