The metal part is great and sturdy. The black shade cloth is not great, too flimsy and falls down in front of the camera. I need to use duct tape and a hanger to jerryrig something that won't cause problems. It's very expensive for such a flimsy shade cloth.

I use teleprompters for my Udemy training courses all the time. At last I found this wonderful inexpensive telprompter that takes my professional Sony X160 camera and has an angle adjustable mirror! I use it with the 13 " WIMAXIT monitor also from Amazon and I am very happy. Easy to assemble, and well made.

Firstly, this absolutely worked as advertised. It is a bit fiddly to assemble the first time round and a couple of the screw fittings would benefit from having rubber washers included as the initial fit was a bit loose even with screws tightened. As other reviews have pointed out be prepared to adjust the cloth hood to stop it encroaching on the lens (we used a small dog clip). The remote is pants. Googling reveals it works well with Android but it was hopeless with our iOS kit. We used ProPrompter App to connect an iPhone X as controller for an iPad Pro. For the price I can't grumble. This is a good solution without spending several hundred pounds more. We used this on a professional shoot and also modified it to be used as an interratron. Glass included was flawless. Thumbs up.

Brilliant Bit of Kit, Sturdy, just follow the instructions to put it together. Make sure you have a decent Tripod to carry it. The Remote control supplied is a bit naff! Easier to use the iPad, although there has been an upgrade to the remote control since we purchased it.

After losing my formatted script for the 3rd time because of this, I decided to write a review. GOOD First off, the quality of the physical product is fantastic. The glass cannot be seen in playback and WHEN IT WORKS it is a massive time saver and makes for improved presentation. VERY BAD Of course, as you use the teleprompter, the remote is vital, the problem is this one is just plain terrible. In the hand, the remote feels like it costs $0.06. You literally have to pry the back cover off the 'plasticy' remote, use what's left of your fingers to remove the batteries and shove them back in to TRY and connect the remote to your tablet again, EVERY TIME. Okay, so that's done and you have now got this web app open (wish it was a desktop type app), you drop in your script, which always formats in the weirdest way with spacing etc (this should just retain format from all docs at this price point) so you need to re-adjust all the formatting so it is actually readable (time). Great, 20 min later, you have your readable script, remote connected, lets' do it. You click one button on the remote and it takes you out of the TELEPROMPTER APP. That's right, all that formatting is gone because your teleprompter remote magically became a mouse/keyboard and selected the back button, a major issue since it is a web app. I CAN'T SEE ANY SITUATION WHERE YOU WOULD NEED THIS FEATURE and it makes me think this remote has just been repurposed from something else, it 100% causes more harm as opposed to doing any good. I now need to go work out how to get out of this useless feature and just to what a teleprompter user would need. That's right. Let's get back to ripping the back of the remote off once again. I am actually just going to leave the back cover off, you may as well throw it away for your fingers' sake. I am bitterly disappointed in the quality of the APP and REMOTE at this price point. Unfortunately, there aren't a ton of options out there but a complete re-design os this APP and remote is needed. It completely messes up what would be a truly magical product. If you go with this, invest in a pair of pliers and some therapy sessions. More than happy to update this review if these issues are fixed.

This is quite expensive for such a simple device, there is no height adjustment for various cameras and there is no clamp to hold the iPad. However, if you use a sturdy stand that won't tip over it does work very well. My semi-pro Sony 4k camera was at the right height and my iPad pro ran the free software without a hitch. The soft cover needs something to hold the top side to prevent it dropping in front of the lens, but can be rolled up a bit to achieve this. The remote does work, but its pretty tacky, like a toy really. That said, if you want a low cost tele-prompter this is a good one.

At first I was pretty impressed by this product - all the metal parts seemed well engineered and putting the teleprompter together was rather easy (despite some pretty poor instructions). Enter the hood that goes over the mirror and the camera lens. Having tried other teleprompters it seems obvious that the hood was an afterthought during design. The bottom part has bungee cord in the seam to keep the thing tight, it does a poor job at that. You end up adjusting and readjusting and still get the material bunching from all sides so the hood collapses into the way of the lens. Further, the drawstring opening that tightens around the lens is way too big. It hardly fits with a standard DSLR kit lens, which results in unwanted light bleed from the back. This setup might work if you have a really sizeable camera but for the common setups it does not. If they were to properly incorporate the hood into their design this could be a treat. Sadly it isn't. I did not even get to test the remote. Product returned.

Se trata de un equipo de precio ajustado que nos permite leer el guión en una pantalla de hasta 13 pulgadas mientras hacemos el ví­deo. No importa si se trata de una tableta grande o un ordenador convertible. Con ello conseguimos una superficie de lectura amplia a un precio imposible hasta ahora. Se trata de un teleprompter sencillo al estilo “ikea” tanto para el montaje como en el manejo. Este modelo reciente, lleva un cristal capaz de reflejar una imagen sin perder definición ni calidad a pesar de que el entorno se encuentre bien iluminado. Eso sí­, el modelo no incluye el mando de control remoto, por lo que conviene contar con uno para poder mover el texto a distancia sin problemas. El paquete llega completamente desmontado para su transporte. Por supuesto, en el más puro estilo “Ikea” el paquete llega repleto de tornillos, canutillos y arandelas suficientes como para poder llevar a cabo el montaje e incluso reponer cualquier pieza perdida. Sobre él se pueden montar casi toda clase de cámaras: desde cámaras fotográficas DSLR hasta videocámaras de ámbito amateur como las handycam, o cámaras semi profesionales HDVCAM, XDCAM, NXCAM. El cristal HD, así­ como la estructura para la pantalla admite dispositivos de hasta 13 pulgadas de tamaño. La superficie de soporte es estable, pero no fija el dispositivo, funciona como una bandeja donde colocar la pantalla con el contenido, pudiendo así­ ajustarla hacia el cristal o unos centí­metros más separada de éste para acomodarla al uso. Su colocación, sin pinzas ni sujeciones resulta cómoda. Además, el TeleprompterPAD cuenta con una pequeña almohadilla para ajustar el dispositivo, evitar que se dañe y conseguir fijar su posición. El resultado final es una estructura de solo 1,96 kilogramos de peso. Con unas medidas de 56 x 32 x 11-26 cm. Un dispositivo ligero para su montaje y transporte. Eso sí­, conviene retirar la pantalla antes de cualquier manipulación, evitando que se caiga de su bandeja por accidente. En nuestras pruebas, hemos decidido usar una cámara Canon DSLR, que hemos fijado sin problemas con el tornillo ¼ que incluye el conjunto. La estructura y la tela ajustan a la perfección, sin temblores ni escapes de luz sobre el cristal HD. La única instalación restante es colocar una tableta o cualquier dispositivo con una pantalla con un tamaño menor a 13 pulgadas. En nuestro caso hemos usado un ordenador portátil convertible. Un PC que hemos abatido en su totalidad para usarlo como una tableta. A pesar de su peculiaridad, con un cuerpo algo más ancho que una tableta al uso, basta con colocarlo sobre la bandeja para conseguir que su reflejo se muestre en el cristal HD. Conviene ajustar el conjunto para escoger la inclinación ideal del cristal HD y la colocación de la pantalla sobre la bandeja. Al no contar con fijación, el ordenador posee varios centí­metros libres de juego sobre la bandeja, pudiendo llevar el reflejo a la parte más alta o más baja del cristal conforme alejamos o acercamos la pantalla a su reflejo. Y listo, sin ajustes, sin bridas, sin bandas elásticas ni nada más. El aparato ya está montado y casi instalado. Solo queda escoger una aplicación que voltee la imagen de la pantalla colocada en la bandeja. Y es que, si no, la imagen se ve del revés. En este sentido hay unas cuantas aplicaciones disponibles tanto para dispositivos Android, como para iOS. Y también en PC. Desde la página web de TeleprompterPAD llevan a cabo un listado con las más útiles, tanto gratuitas como de pago. CONCLUSIONES Tras comprobar la estabilidad del conjunto y la luminosidad del cristal que monta este teleprompter, nos queda claro que estamos ante uno de los mejores “apuntadores” semiprofesionales. Sin embargo, los acabados, la ligereza de la estructura y los detalles en cuanto a los velcros y protecciones para la pantalla, demuestran mimo en su construcción y un acabado que convence.

Well built and works well as hardware. Challenge is finding decent teleprompter software for iOS tablet. Included software and remote works fine but is very basic. Blackout hood was somewhat difficult to install - very, very tight but once on, works well and material seems sturdy. Excellent build quality and attractive mid-level price.

I’m a working musician, and I got this teleprompter specifically for making videos while playing music. And I'm happy with the results. The build quality is great. The plates that hold the Ipad the camera and the glass are made of a stirdy metal and the cloth feels well made. Have not tested the software extensively, and haven't even opened the box of the remote. I’m mostly reading sheet music and chord progressions and forscore for that, so no need for the included software and remote. Overall I am very happy with this setup and I can recommend this teleprompter to any musician who wants to read and record at the same time!
