It's the driver side cv axle
Fits perfectly on a 2012 Kia optima. Comes with cotter pins and center nut that tightens axle to rotor. Very easy DIY replacement part. I've had it on for 3 weeks now with no problems. Very recommendable and very satisfied.

Failed at 400 miles following installation.
2018 Ram Promaster 3500. Replaced a smooth functioning factory original driverside axle due to recent massive cv grease leak. The replacement axle was installed at an automotive repair shop in Garden Grove California on the morning we departed for a Pacific Coast Highway 1 (PCH) vacation. We made it 400 miles before the van began shaking and producing a grinding noise from the drivers side wheel area. This occured while driving along the PCH which is a mostly slow winding single lane road. Upon inspection by me and then two auto shops it was obvious the problem was the axle CV joints. Both CV joints were leaking black CV grease. The speed at which the failure occurred suggests to me that the axle was not to factory specs in tolerances and or material quality. This failed axle was finally replaced after three days of much effort to locate a factory part and a shop to install it. I am returning the failed axle. Will provide an update on the treatment I received in the return effort.
