I’ve been using the Vantrue 29.5ft rear camera cable with my Vantrue Elements E2 rear camera in my GMC SUV, and it’s been working great. The cable is long enough to easily run through the vehicle, with extra cable to spare, and still maintain a clean installation. The USB Type C connectors fit perfectly, and I’ve had no issues connecting it to my rear camera. It’s compatible with a wide variety of vehicles, and I’m sure it would work in most other vehicles, from trucks to minivans. The cable is well-built and durable, and it provides just the right length for my setup. I’ve also used it on longer trips, and the connection has always remained strong with no interruptions. Cable seems to be heavy duty. It was well suited to be run inside the truck frame from the cab to the tailgate for connection to the weather proof rear camera for my N4 Pro S dash camera.

Does what it needs to do

Save your money and avoid purchasing Vantrue dashcams. I bought four units, all of which turned out to be faulty. They freeze, and you need to restart them every 15 minutes, and fail to record when necessary, and the screens often freeze. I contacted customer service, sent a video as requested, but after that, they stopped responding and have not replied to any of my emails.

You cannot find this kind of wire in the brick and mortar stores. It’s even hard to find online until I went to Amazon. It’s great because it’s long enough for just about any vehicle. For mine I had to hide about 5 feet of wire and that’s OK because the one that came with the camera was barely long enough and that’s why it broke. Someone opened the back tail door on my car and there was no room for the wire because it shifted a little bit and it ripped out. You won’t have that problem with this wire I recommended.

Why i couldn't use a standard usb-c cable is wild, unless i bought the wrong type before this one.

Just the length needed from the front of the SUV to the rear for the dash cam setup. I ran this from the front camera, down the passenger a-pillar, along the floor under the trim, and up the rear into the trunk. I have a Volvo Xc90 and I had plenty of slack left over.

fits perfect in my Integra and has more cable for a larger car, probably for a full size suv
